Sophomore: The most important thing in Jesuit High School is that I feel like an individual. The school and faculty make immense effort towards pushing every student out of their comfort zone, and in doing so cause everyone to stand out. I wouldn't have joined the volleyball team if not for Jesuit High School's counseling department pushing me to take risks and try out for a cut sport that I had been on the bubble of trying out for over the past year. I wanted to join the team, but was filled with self-doubt. Parent: An excellent school that fosters learning in a myriad of ways. The focus on developing the students as whole people, and learning based on appropriate developmental age. The school has a focus on not just academics but social, environmental, and global and even spiritual focuses as well. They truly try to foster a love of learning and present material in learning blocks that rotate throughout the year. This school is truly a blessing in every way. The community is close and with lots of involvement. The farm, riverfront location, caring and attentive teachers, and forward thinking with yet an old school kind of approach, all amazing! Senior: I’m currently a Senior here at Christian Brothers High School and I got to tell you, I’m absolutely loving it. I love how CB has a different variety of programs, classes, clubs, and sports to choose from. Ever since I joined, I have received nothing but kindness from both faculty and students. The teachers do actually care about their students, and help them on their academic journey. The atmosphere here is just so welcoming. Junior: I like how St. Francis High School prepares you for college and the future careers you want to pursue. There's a variety of college-preparatory courses fit for any student regarding her academic background. This school is competitive athletically and academically as it puts a lot of pressure on hard-working students. The administration, wellness counselors, and college counselors are very active as they provide many resources that benefit students struggling mentally or with grades. As an all-girls school, the sisterhood community is empowering and motivates students like me to get involved in leadership and social opportunities as a female. Parent: I have three children attending CCS: 1st, 3rd and 10th grades. My 10th grader began at the school in 5th grade. Our experience through middle, elementary and high school has been outstanding. My 9th grader has had the opportunity to participate in student government, take an AP class (and passed the AP exam to earn college credit!), plays 3 sports and enjoys a campus climate that is welcoming and supportive. He also participated in a Law Academy program, where he was able to visit the local state and federal courts, learn from attorneys and judges, and learn how to read legal cases. It was an incredible opportunity for a high school student. Our kids have all enjoyed the support of deeply committed teachers, who show a sincere interest in their success and growth academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. Senior: I’ve been a student of Bradshaw Christian since Kindergarten. I’ve had amazing, supportive teachers, made lifelong friendships, and created memories to last a lifetime. I believe I’ve received a competitive education with opportunities to prepare me for college, i.e Honors and AP classes. Classroom sizes are small, making for easy accessibility to teachers; however, diversity in economic and cultural background is low. Since it is a small school each student has chance to be herd and each teacher has a chance to reach out. Cristo Rey strives to create a safe tight knit community where everyone is welcome. Most of the teachers have succeeded in creating a connection with student and making their classes engaging. Most everybody knows everyone. Help whether academic or otherwise is always available. Middle School Student: I am in seventh grade, the lowest grade that NCPS currently offers. I have high-functioning autism, social anxiety, and depression and a while back I had behavioral issues. I am also gifted in academics, so it was really hard to find a school that fits my needs, until I went to NCPS. They offer seven classes for each subject, each at a different level of difficulty. It is not age or grade based. They can also support my other needs, like how large classes are hard (most classes are >10 kids) and I can work on my social skills in social group. Students are usually required to socialize, which is tough but I understand where they’re coming from. Most of the students are more intellectually and cognitively impaired than me but there are some that are more like me. Most of the staff are professional and kind. Some negatives are that they micromanage you (they can do so as they currently have >50 students). Like, you can’t talk to a peer without a staff right next to you.... Read 3 reviews

Parent: My daughter began attending the school in preschool, she is now in 12th Grade she will graduate this year and pursue a medical degree and plans to become a pediatrician. Through the schools music program she has learned to read music, play the clarinet and flute she also has learned to sing with amazing skill. She also was taught theater and to be an excellent and convincing actress. My daughter has amazing Christian Character as a result of the school it's teachers and she has a sincere love for God. My son has has also been in CCS since preschool now in 7th grade and has a heart to serve in ministry. He is an 'A’ honor roll and received many Christian Character awards. This School has a inspiring influence that has taken root in his life. He through the Schools music program has learned to play percussion and has become a good musician.
