Junior: I really loved this school! The teachers actually know what they're doing, there are fun classes and since no one wants to go to "nerd school" unless they're actually nerds, most people there know what they're doing as well. I'll really miss my friends when I leave. One thing I would change is that, while there are clubs for a lot of things, there are no sports, theatre, or dance for after school. You can go to other schools for it though. Another is that, because it is on a college campus, there isn't a school lunch option. You can buy a hot meal, go out to eat or go to the convenience store, but you're not going to spend less than $6 if you want a full meal. Unless you bring it from home, which I did. Senior: Park City High School is set up to help students succeed. Students have so my outlets to express themselves. They also have multiple opportunities to get additional help whether it be the student tutoring program or MathLab. The teachers want to see students do well and will often stay after school to assist students with their needs. Park City offers a large range of classes to ensure that students can find a class that both interests them and meets them where they are at academically. Junior: SUCCESS Academy is amazing for me! It definitely isn't for everyone though. The courses are very rigorous and you end up going home with hours upon hours of homeowrk. The best part of SUCCESS though is the friends that you make there. I've made so many good friends and we all work together on so much homework and school work and we have a blast doing it. And the teachers are amazing as well! You can definitely tell there is the nerdy but also the antisocial social vibe coming from everyone, and the only way we can describe it is by saying, "Just the way SUCCESS is". Every teacher is very invested into the students and their work as well! They're caring for the students and they're passionate for their work and it really makes SUCCESS feel like a second home! In fact, if you ask a lot of us students, SUCCESS is our home away from home. Junior: I love Rich School District, because we have so many opportunities for future living. My school has opportunities with BATC, concurrent enrollment, CNA's, shop classes, art, and much more. We also have four-day weeks, which are awesome! All of the teachers get to know all of their students, because it is a relatively small school. Senior: I have thoroughly enjoyed attending Beaver High School. My home is thirty minutes away from the high school, so being prepared was one of the hardest lessons I had to learn. I have participated in many clubs and sports so I always had activities or practices after school. Forgetting my practice gear was not an option. Beaver high has a bus that takes all the students that live in Minersville home. Whenever I missed that bus, my friends were there to help me out and find a ride home. One time the bus left all the softball players, so the principal gave us a ride home! Everyone at Beaver High is pretty close, and I learned so much. The only thing I would change about it, is that the freshman/sophomore math programs are not very good. I learned more in 8th grade then I did in my Beaver High Math 1 and 2 classes.... Senior: As a student who attends Syracuse high school I have enjoyed the memories I have made along my journey has a high schooler. Senior: I really enjoy going to school at the Daggett School District. The class sizes are very small, so it makes for more one-on-one interaction with the students and teachers. They are better able to help each individual learn. I also liked how my school is so close. Everybody knows everybody, and, even though there are they moments when others don't get along, we all are really good friends. One thing that I would change about the Daggett School District is finding a way that there can be a wider selection of classes. Since it is so small, not as many classes can be offered, but I hope that one day soon they will be able to find a way to do this. Senior: Overall I have had an enjoyable high school experience at Manti High school. The teachers and staff have a genuine concern for your well-being, and are very willing to be your friend. They are approachable, and willing to help you with anything from a big decision, advice, or help on your homework. I have a very easy time learning, and enjoy most of my classes. I do wish we would do less with canvas and our iPads. The wifi is unreliable, and I have had problems with my canvas for my whole high school career. Junior: Canyons School District is overall one of the better districts. However, I do have some complaints on the academics and teachers. Teachers often deter from their specific course and give out work that shouldn't necessarily be given to a high school student. I have some teachers who give out (in my opinion) primary school work, such as coloring or drawing, in core classes. I believe that time could be better spent than coloring in superheroes or trying to draw mice. I understand the activity is supposed to be fun, but as high school students we deserve to be better challenged. School culture is pretty good and students are relatively kind to each other. However, there isn't much diversity regarding culture: some but not a lot. The administration, on the other hand, is stellar. Senior: Overall, my experience with the Millard School District has been great! I have loved going to school in a small town. Our district covers a few different schools which is great when there is a fair board; however, when they are not fair that is when conflict arises. One thing I wish I could change about Millard School District is their ability to listen to the students. Yes we are High School students but we still need to be heard. There have been many times we have tried to make changes that would benefit the students but we haven’t been listened to. Ultimately we are the ones in school. During 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic, Alpine District has been flexible and organized with their scheduling, making changes as they are needed. There are a wide variety of student-run and faculty-run clubs and extracurriculars. Freshman: If I were to describe Granite School District I would describe it as a very high acedemicly wealthy school with a couple downsides on all other fronts. From my expirience, I was never not able to understand how they taught everything towards me. The problems arrose with the instructures. More times than not, I would completely understand the material that was being taught and the only problem would be that I would have troubles with the teachers. Wether this be with submitting certain assignments, to not having much help when I needed it. I will say however, I have had very good expiriences with the administration and office. I had been struggling with a lot of mental health issues and the counsling center of the school had really helped me with that and made me imporve not only just as a person, but academicaly aswell. Senior: The Visual Arts area is amazing! Great teachers and student Interaction. One of My favorite classes was with Montierth and Hall in the art class rooms. We have a good team spirit in the school, helping others by lifting each other up on and off the court. They also have a lot of CE Credits that you can earn for college and there are only 15 dollars per class. I have been able to get 29 Collage credits from Weber state: that is half of an associate degree. The teachers are amazing, always encouraging you to work on your dreams and pursue your education. As well as preparing you for college, job interviews, resumes, your overall writing skills. I am horrible at writing and needed help improving it so it would flow better in a paragraph. I thank my history teacher from my Ce class: Hist 1700. Thanks Madison I love this school and I will always bleed blue go silver wolves!
