#25 Best Places to Teach in Oregon
Parent: This small district provides some benefits that a larger school could never hope to match. Specifically, the teachers are able to individualize education for most students, and the school is able to create a K-12 culture that leads to a student body second to none; all feel safe and welcome here. Because of the K12 nature of the school, younger students are regularly paired with older students for activities, leading to a variety of positive outcomes.
Naturally, there are not as many activities available as you would find at a larger school, but everyone is welcome in any activity without tryouts. Currently offered:
Art classes for grades K-8, choir classes for grades K-5, occasional artists. Football, volleyball, basketball, track & field. NHS, Dual-college credit math, various ad hoc teams dependent on student interest (math team, Battle of the Books, etc.), FFA
The biggest drawback to this school is its lack of offerings for more advanced students.
