Senior: The school has teachers who care about educating the students and clearly want to see the students succeed. They go out of their way to make sure all students understand the material and are flexible with office hours to ensure everyone who needs more help can get it. The staff is always friendly and always willing to help. Also, the courtyard is clean which leads to a nice scenery year round and a nice place to socialize. One criticism is the food quality, with, on numerous occasions, the quality looks below mediocre. There has been more steps taken to increase quality, but it still remains a prevalent issue.... Senior: I really loved my high school. I was a transfer student freshman year and I was very nervous to start at my new school. However, I was given a friendly welcome and a great education. I first hated the fact that I had to move away from my old school but I realized that life at this school was probably much better than it would have been at my old school education wise. Senior: My personal experience with The Amherst school district has been very good. from Amherst Middle School to Souhegan High School the teachers have been providing students with the knowledge they need to continue to be successful. The teachers in Middle school prepared us well for high school making the transiting a little less scary. My personal experience with High school has been very good. Even with loosing a few years to Covid, Souhegan stepped up through those tough times and continued to provide each kid with the good education they always have provided. I give credit to all the teachers at Souhegan for always be available to help, and being another person to talk to when I need. All the faculty and staff are nothing but nice at Souhegan and that has helped make the high school experience so much better. Senior: Overall, Hopkinton High School offers good classes that can help you prepare for college or a field you're interested in. I've enjoyed most of my time with the teachers I've had, and many of them try their best to give you the best learning experience. If I could change anything about HMHS, I would ask for more classes to be offered, as there are many science-related courses that are not available. I wish for the school to eventually run on renewable energy, although this is something that parts of the student body are currently working on. This is also quite a small school, so it's not hard to notice how little of diversity there is. Other than these aspects, I have enjoyed most of my time at the school, and I have had a great experience with sports teams that I have joined as well. Senior: I have been apart of the Merrimack Valley School District since Kingerdgarten. My 8th grade year I do not remember vividly, but I do remember the move up day to the highschool across the parking lot. Freshman year rolls around and then that March of 2020 everything I thought I had adjusted too, would never be the same again. My school was very supportive through these hard times, along with the deaths of serveral students. The teachers are supoortive and become almost like an older cousin in a way. They get to know each student in their class. I understand how important it is to know your students, but here at the Valley they do more than that. Along with the coaches. They push you and help you advance to the next level in your athletic abilities, as well as curriculums. Senior: I greatly enjoyed my experience at Manchester Central High School. I always got a strong sense from my teachers that they enjoyed teaching and were happy they were able to teach at Central each day. Being located in a city, and taking in kids from nearby towns has created a very diverse group of students that attend Central, which I have certainly valued becuase a diverse population brought in a share of culture, perspectives, and ideas. The students have a great sense of community. Our academics are very diverse, sending kids to Ivy League schools at least every year i've attended. The guidance and administrative staff is helpful and always goes above and beyond to be helpful. There are so many options for clubs and sports. All of that combined makes Central a very well-rounded school full of opportunities. Because of that each student there has a great sense of Central Pride! Senior: I have been a student at the Founders Academy since sixth grade and will be graduating this year. Over the years I feel as if I have grown alongside the school. Founders strongly focuses on the humanities, but STEM is still strong. Founders has offered me many opportunities to step into leadership positions, such as student government, the PSTG, through my senior project, and more. The small class sizes at Founders allows students to interact more with the teachers. I have grown very close with my teachers over the years, and because of this I have discovered new passions such as music, website design, and my chosen field of study, law. Having a middle school and high school all in one building also allows students to start getting their high school credits in middle school, so by the time I was a freshman I already had collected a few credits.
