Alum: The best High school experience I could have ever had! Fusion prepared me so well for college. I know how to plan my schedule, study efficiently and take care of my health, which we are never taught in typical high school settings. My prior high school experience was terrible. I was stressed, my teachers did not care about me and I was given an insane work load with no helping hands from teachers. At Fusion, everyone from the admin, faculty, and teachers, (even the ones you don't even have), care so deeply about you academic, mental, physical and personal health. The 1 to 1 experience can seem odd, but it taught me how to have interesting, worthwhile conversations with adults which has already helped me immensely in college. Senior: I have been at Griggs International Academy for the last six years. When I first enrolled in middle school, my family chose Griggs for its academics and faith. During my years at Griggs, I have definitely grown in these two areas. I love being able to work from home at my own pace with Griggs, spending as much or as little time on each course as I need to. When I need help, the teachers are nice and caring. Outside of coursework, I love how diverse the student body is at Griggs. Sophomore: I was taken out of my old school due to the lack of my Teachers knowledge oh helping students, in this case me. My siblings felt the same way, the teachers didn't help us a lot. Most of the time they would get mad at us just for not knowing an answer to a question. So we went out of that school and into iCademy global. The first time I stepped into the check in office of the school to pick up our resources and talk to the teachers was great! I got to meet all my new teachers and they where super compassionate of their jobs and had a really mellow vibe to them. The school year stared and it was great! The teachers would not get mad at me or anyone for having questions and the students are very nonchalant. I get all the help I need and the teachers are always helpful. They have a saying, RISE. Freshman: I love doing school through MIPS! I went to public school for almost 10 years, then tried other online schooling, and none of them worked for me. Then, my brother recommended MIPS to me after he graduated from there. So, I decided to enroll in the Dual-Enrollment Business Program that MIPS offers! I love everything about MIPS and have nothing bad to say about it. I have the best mentor and teachers that help me with anything I need at whatever time. Honestly, when I was trying out other online schools, I was not learning at all because I have always had a problem with comprehension, and learning off of a screen. I have been doing MIPS for 1 year now, and have learned so much, because of there easy- to understand lessons. They also have a button you can push for the computer to read to you, which is so helpful for me. My favorite part of MIPS is the Dual Enrollment Program that they have. Parent: When the pandemic hit I knew I couldn't send my son back to his traditional school because I'm immunocompromised and my son literally brings home a new bug every day. He has several diagnoses and we had struggled with his school since the 1st week of kindergarten. I'm so glad I had no choice but to explore other options. People would say he would miss out on the personal interaction or he needs the social interaction. And so we struggled on. I can now say that whatever you think online schooling looks like, at Uplift is almost certainly not what you are picturing. Imagine if you had a team of people all working together to help your child be successful in school? At Uplift, we did.
