Alum: The academics offered at SHS well-varied and high quality. Free math tutoring was offered after school and teachers are always willing to answer questions. Many of the teachers at SHS are very high quality, however there is a high rate of teacher turnover. I was prepared for college in terms of the academic rigor provided at SHS, but much of the college research and application process has to be done on ones own. There is a large variety of clubs and activities availible at SHS and they rank well at international competitions. I have always felt safe at SHS. The students at the school are highly focused on athletics. Generally, I like the administrative staff at SHS. Cheerleading, gymnastics, and tennis are all common options at high schools that are no longer availible at SHS. I met many great friends there! Recently renovated and expanded.

Senior: Palisade High School has given me the ultimate high school experience. Between pep rallies, bulldog days, and school dances, there is always something fun going on in Palisade. On top of these awesome activities, the staff that makes the school run is caring, smart, and helpful. The administration consists of one super involved principal, and two brilliant vice principals. Although there are many excellent aspects to love about Palisade, my favorite used to be bulldog days! My freshman year, students with good grades could leave campus one and a half hours early one Wednesday of the month. Students with low grades were required to seek extra help from teachers. I felt as though this program was extremely effective! The bulldog day policies have shifted considerably since my freshman year, and although they are still proving to be effective, nothing beats the extra free time I got my freshman year.

Junior: Throughout my three years at Windsor High school, I absolutely love it! I have participated in 3 sports throughout the years and have enjoyed finding my place and friends at school. Academics are a really big deal for me, so I am aiming to take higher level classes. We have dual credits through Aims Community Commons and university of Northern Colorado. I am currently taking AP Bio with Tamara Pennington who has won multiple national awards and is very well known. I am proud to be a wizard and blessed to be going to such a great school like Windsor.

Senior: Sargent High School is a very educational high school. Students that attend receive amazing education that is both challenging in their academics as well as expectations from students. My experience at this school was difficult when it came to academics, classes are set up to help you learn at your level, while challenging you at the same time. I have been participating in college classes during the regular high school year, and I can now say that I am very grateful for the way the teachers have been teaching! Without this I would not have been prepared, they were able to prepare me for my future education.

Senior: Overall, my experience at FMHS has been very good. I have grown as a person and as a student in my four years of attending. However, I do believe that staff could be doing a better job at making sure the students feel safe while they are at the school. In the world we live in today, danger and tragedy is sadly more common and I believe that all students need to feel protected. Parents need to feel confident that they are sending their children to a school where they will be 100% protected and safe at all times, o matter what tragedy big or small strikes.

Senior: My overall experience at eDCSD has been incredible. The teachers at eDCSD are fantastic and are very determined that every student succeeds. The courses are challenging but teachers are willing to provide one-on-one help and have quick response times with email and other communication. The administration and teachers are great at coming up with events for students to get more involved. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to try online courses.

Junior: Over the years, I have struggled immensely with school work and mental health. Finding the right school was very hard for me, but I'm very happy to say Boulder Universal is the best school I've ever attended. They have a great selection of classes to choose from and the staff is extremely helpful with both school work and mental health struggles. I feel extremely lucky to have such a wonderful staff for the rest of my high school years. Lastly, one thing I would love to see for the future of this school is their own building.

Junior: This school meets each student where they are and works with them individually. There is no one size fits all and they have mastered considering each students individual needs. There is a tremendous amount of help and resources within the staff. They are truly dedicated to assisting students reach their goals, whatever they may be. No judgement there just a genuine desire to help! Very diverse student population. My oldest son just graduated from DOS in May and my youngest is a junior here.

Senior: Very great and individualized. Every single teacher and student there is so nice and helpful. The beauty of online school is that you can do it on your time. For example, if a student is highly active in sports, and has to be away from home for days on end during the school week, then the student can take the school with them on their electronic device. There is also a classroom the student can go to everyday to receive help and participate in classes. I have found the online courses to teach as much as a traditional class as well.

Middle School Student: I attended Colorado Connections Academy throughout middle school. The school was accommodating and flexible around the student and family's needs. My family was able to travel while I was in school. Live lessons allowed students to interact with their teachers and classmates as well. All the teachers were very kind and willing to spend extra time working with students individually, as well as traveled the state for field trips, tutoring sessions, and testing.
