High School Senior: This is a great school overall. The building is nice and relatively new. It was built somewhere between 2000 and 2005. Joining a sport or club is a good way to make friends. A variety of clubs are offered each semester. School lunch is okay. There are several options each day, and ala carte snacks are offered after lunch. Teachers are very friendly and engaging here. They try to make learning fun for students. Tiger Olympics and Tiger Stripes were two of my favorite things about this school. Tiger Olympics is an all-school "competition" during homecoming week. Tiger Stripes is for students who did well academically during the quarter or who were nominated by a teacher for their character or work ethic. Senior: Hills-Beaver Creek is the school district I have gone to my whole life. This school has always felt like a second home. There are many things to love and enjoy about this school. Every teacher in the school shows you love, just like you're one of their own children. They let you know when you have done the wrong thing, but they also tell you they are proud of you when you've done the right thing. The kids in the school are amazing as well. Although bullying does happen sometimes, it's very rare that it gets out of hand. Everyone in the school is kind to each other. Although the many great points out-weigh the bad, there are a few things I would change. I wish the younger class men still showed respect to the older class men. I also wish the students would show more respect to the teachers as well. Overall, Hills-Beaver Creek is a great school and I'm proud to say it's where I'll graduate from.... Read 9 reviews

Parent: Sioux Falls Christian has been and continues to be an excellent school for our children. It has been a commitment financially for us to choose this and it has been worth every penny. The staff and admin truly care about students, their families, the culture and it's academics. This school really nails so many of the key important aspects of what a great school should provide. Raising children is hard and it does take a village. I'm so glad that this school and the people in it are my village. I've never experienced a school that is perfect and SFC isn't either but what I love is that they continually strive to provide a Christ-centered education and fulfill their mission to "Love, Grow, and Go Glorify" while offering a high standard of academic excellence. Our now college-age child was very well prepared for academics and the world. Part of this is being connected as a parent and having healthy conversations alongside what SFC taught her. Senior: My experience at Dell Rapids St. Marys has been interesting to say the least. I transferred from a different school going into second grade, and was instantly welcomed by the students and teachers. The low enrollment has allowed me to build relationships with just about everyone in the school. I have appreciated every moment that I have experienced here, and consider myself very lucky for being able to surround myself with such amazing people. While I know many people consider high school to be dreadful, I would be willing to do it all again in a heartbeat. However, my growth through St. Marys has prepared for the next journey in my life - which I plan on being a college or university of some type.... Read 3 reviews
