Parent: St. Andrew's has been a consistently positive experience for our family. Our daughter has grown in the following areas: academics, social life, athletics, arts, and community service. The school sticks to their mission, and lives up to what they advertise. St. Andrew's has never stopped improving during our 8 years here. Every year sees improvements or additions to the facilities, upgraded technology, responses to the changing world, and innovations in education. Their response to the pandemic was excellent. Alum: I went to SCPS for the entirety of my pre-college education. Nursery through Senior year of high-school. The teachers and faculty are the best around. It is hard to find people who so obviously care about not only the education your child is receiving but the well- being of your child as a whole. The education in itself is beyond excellent. Right from what is “childhood education,” they are making sure there are no gaps anywhere. I would say they are close to perfecting what each child needs and they make it happen. Going into middle and high-school they are preparing you for college and the future that lies ahead. The main thing with any school is, you get out what you put in. Alum: I transferred to Calvary Day my sophomore year and instantly fell in love. I graduated this year and had an overall amazing experience. The one on one with teachers is unmatched and all the students are extremely involved in extracurriculars. Calvary not only supports athletes, but has a growing fine arts program that will continue to only get better and better. Junior: The RHMS faculty dedicate their time and service to the students who attend there. They focus on the students to provide success and opportunities for them. Not only does the Richmond Hill Middle school have wonderful faculty but they also offer a variety of clubs, sports, trips, hobbies etc. Their main priority is the students in helping them achieve their goals and guiding them in the right path. Parent: I have 4 children that attend HHCA for the past 4 years. Their faith, Biblical knowledge, and trust in Jesus have strengthened and grown well beyond our expectations. The options to pursue fine arts and athletics are incredible. I have kids participating in both and the teachers make sure to help them have a healthy balance. My oldest kids have been academically challenged and my younger kids have had opportunities for the Gifted and Talented program. The school feels like one big family and constantly looks for ways to give to each student, their family, and the local community. Middle School Student: I have been going to The STEM Academy for two and a half years. Academics there are quite good. We have every subject advanced and taught in innovative ways. The teachers are quite average. There are some nice teachers while others are a bit more unjust. The clubs there are exquisite! We have Latin, Health, Lego Robotics, Vex Robotics, Makerspace, and more! The school culture is quite good as well. We have something called LYP which is an abreviation for Love Your People. With LYP it rewards us for good behaviors and gives us good punishments for bad ones. Starting with the critiques, STEM has a pretty bad facility. The building is decades old and had questionable tasting water and plumbing. The safety of our school is quite questionable as well. We've had multiple threats come to the school. There have also been multiple fights. Overall as a school I would consider STEM very good. It's the best middle school in Chatham County.... Read 10 reviews

Alum: I really loved everything about this school. It was better than both high school and elementary school for me. The school truely cared about its students and wanted them to enjoy their days at school while learning. We enjoyed various field trip opportunities as well as often had speakers come in and presentations to discourage bullying and encourage good morals. It is the better of the 3 in my district. It is the oldest, yet cleanest and does a better job of making students remember morals and character lessons. There are many clubs for your child! I also cannot express how proud I am of the safety of this school. One of the other middle schools in the county actually had a girl escape the school as no one was monitoring her apparently and she walked many miles while the whole school believed her as missing and it involved police and it was terrible.. The teachers have really helped us transition from elementary to middle school. Middle School Student: I am a student in BLMS and it is my second year there. I must say your experience at this school depends on who your friends are, if you hang with the 'bad' kids you probably won't have the best time, and the same for the 'popular' kids its isn't fun. I would recommend being friends with the people in-between the two, not trouble making, but also not attention grabbing. The teacher are pretty awesome, except for the few outliers. The food is mediocre, I heard it used to be better than it is now though. The faculty is amazing at doing their job and handle any situation quickly and with ease. BLMS is very diverse and I would not be concerned in that area. I would recommend over other middle schools in the area, because of the staff and how amazing they are at dealing with students.... Junior: I've been attending this school since I was in 6th grade now going on into my senior year of high school, ever since I came to Bethesda I've been able to focus better on my academics and athletics.
