Parent: As a 3rd culture kid myself and as part of a bi-racial family, some of the most important factors in choosing the International School of Indiana was so that our family would not just be accepted, but that my children would be seen, understood and be surrounded by other like-minded families and staff that would understand the unique, nuanced nature of what it means to be culturally diverse, especially in the Midwest US. The rich foundation that is the International Baccalaureate curriculum encourages critical thinking, thoughtful communication and an inherent understanding that we can always find common ground, through open-minded discourse and exchange. It is those important, critical life skills, coupled with the gift of a second language, French in our case, which means they are also acquiring the ability to converse in a different language, understand different cultures and keep their young minds functioning exceptionally. Freshman: This school is excellent! I am currently a freshman and i have never felt more at home. There is however a concern that there are not in enough AP courses. I do not find this a problem because if you take advantage of the ones given to you colleges will acknowledge that. Sophomore: My overall experience at Creekside was really good, minus a few details. First of all, there were some teachers that didn't seem to put in as much effort as others. While most teachers were quite amazing there were definitely a hand full that were not. Alum: I would recommend Eman Schools. There is a great focus on STEM and college readiness. Teachers are focused and experts within their respective fields. Freshman: This school is a great school to introduce you to a new environment. I learned a variety of different things at this school. There are a variety of teachers at ZMS. Some will be amazing, and others, not so much. This school offers a lot of extracurriculars, especially for a middle school. This school taught me many life lessons that will be even more important in my future years. Overall, ZMS is a great school and a solid pick. Middle school is about learning and discovering many things before high school. This school is good because it allows you to balance relatively easily. The 5th-grade year may be challenging, but it only gets easier. However, one thing that is not prevalent at ZMS is diversity. The school lunch is also rather awful. Middle school student: Clay Middle School was hands down the best middle school experience I could have ever asked for. From the moment I walked through those doors, I knew I was in for something special. First off, the teachers at Clay Middle School are absolute rockstars. They were not only incredibly knowledgeable in their subjects but also genuinely cared about each and every one of their students. They were always there to lend a helping hand or offer guidance whenever we needed it. Trust me, having supportive teachers makes a world of difference. What really stood out to me was the inclusive and accepting environment at Clay Middle School. It didn't matter who you were or where you came from, everyone was welcomed with open arms. I made some lifelong friends there and we still keep in touch even after all these years. All in all, my experience at Clay Middle School was absolutely phenomenal. Senior: My experience at Brownsburg High School wasn’t all great but I wouldn’t change it. For starters, my school work was overbearing and sometimes hard to keep up with but, they had after school help and many programs and opportunities to keep you learning and improving. During my freshman year I was very active in clubs and still am to this current day, I participated in cheer, a volunteering club, and many more after school activities to keep me active in my community. Brownsburg had many clubs to offer just like colleges and you can always find one or many that fit you. My sophomore year I was able to maintain a job outside of school while still doing my school work, it did get overwhelming and in result I dropped some clubs but by junior year things calmed down a bit more. I maintained a 4.0 gpa, stayed after school for extra help if needed, and kept in touch with my teachers. The teachers were always advertising their assistance to students if needed and now. Freshman: Not only are the staff members friendly to students, they care about each individual’s success. Parent: My daughter currently attends Riverside and is in 7th grade. I am constantly surprised and impressed by the the coursework and the enthusiasm given by her teachers; extracurricular activities included as well. It is also a beautiful campus surrounded by woods. Junior: Fishers High School was an amazing experience. From the class room, to pep rallies, to school dances. I loved every second! The art/music department is so well cared for with fantastic teachers. All the councilors there genuinely care about the students and do their best to help them as best they can. In the athletics department they make it clear that when you participate in the sports, there you are a, “student-athlete.” Which emphasizes that you are a student first. If you’re grades get too low, you can’t participate in your sport. Which helps many students to keep their grades up. Parent: I have a daughter in the Pre-K class and she absolutely loves it! Cornerstone Baptist Academy has a tremendous teaching staff this year. This is the best teaching staff they have ever had. They love the Lord, they love the students, there is now such a sweet spirit amongst the staff and student body. I highly recommend CBA to anyone with children in Pre-K through 12th grade. They have small class sizes which allows the teachers to spend quality time with each student, and allows them to know each student's name and it is a much closer-knit class that way.... Middle School Student: Actually, I started not too late but a little bit late. I began speedway this year's January. I was a little bit nervous at first but I later became free and anxious to resume school the next day, due to the kind and generous behaviour of the teachers and students.
