Shanley High School & Sullivan Middle School
- Private School
- Fargo, ND
- Rating 3.9 out of 5 62 reviews
Senior: Wonderful faith based education where academics are top priority. Students are encouraged to be faithful savants while being challenged in college preperatory courses. Teachers and staff make themselves available to both students and parents providing a learning environment that teaches the total person. Engagement in extracurricular activities is encouraged with options ranging from athletics to music/drama and various clubs. I would highly recommend Shanley High School!

Oak Grove Lutheran School
- Private School
- Fargo, ND
- Rating 4.45 out of 5 71 reviews
Senior: Oak Grove Lutheran High School has been a great experience for me. I have been here all four years and have enjoyed every single year. Not only does the school hold very key values but it also uses those values everyday to make the students lives better. One of my favorite parts about Oak Grove is the sports atmosphere. Since Oak Grove is a smaller school you know most of the athletes competing in all the sports so you can go support your friends. Also, as an athlete, it is fun to see your friends cheer you on and support you. Another thing that has made my experience great at Oak Grove Lutheran is the fantastic teachers. They are very personable and just are more like friends then just teachers. They attend the student activities including the sports games and plays which shows that they are involved and invested in the student's lives. The last part of Oak Grove I would like to mention is the atmosphere at the school. It is really a chill environment where everybody is included.

Ben Franklin Middle School
#4 Best Public Middle Schools in Fargo Area
- Fargo Public Schools, ND
- Rating 3 out of 5 4 reviews
Senior: I rated Ben Franklin Middle School as above average, because it is. The teachers there cared not only about the education of their students, but their home lives. I was able to form bonds with teachers, that I had never before. I truly felt like I mattered. We also were taught to be a good person while we were at Ben. We did activities as a school where we would focus on standing up for others who can't and had lectures against destructive decisions.
The only thing that I would change about Ben Franklin, is the lack of leadership opportunities for students. While I was a student there, we had a club called Student Leaders, where we were able to organize events and volunteer, but I believe that there should have been more opportunities for students to get involved. If they were able to have more clubs and activities for their students, they would be able to learn responsibility and form connections early on.

Ada-Borup Secondary School
#5 Best Public Middle Schools in Fargo Area
- Ada-Borup Public School District, MN
- Rating 4.04 out of 5 23 reviews
Senior: I love the closer teacher-student relationships we have here at Ada-Borup. The teachers here actually actively support and push the students here to succeed during and after high school. The one thing I wish that we had here is clubs! We sadly don't have any clubs, whatsoever.

Park Christian School
- Private School
- Moorhead, MN
- Rating 4.41 out of 5 92 reviews
Senior: I experienced loving and friendly teachers who taught me more in two years than ten years at public schools. I like that the teachers teach us to prepare not only for college but for the real world too! I also love how the teachers create relationships with us students, they invest in our lives and it shows that we learn better knowing our teacher actually wants the best for us. Of course our school isn't perfect there are a few things that I personally wish were different like, I wish we had more language classes like French or German. I wish we also had small engine classes.

Barnesville Secondary School
#8 Best Public Middle Schools in Fargo Area
- Barnesville Public School District, MN
- Rating 4.13 out of 5 16 reviews
Senior: The school is great, the staff are all awesome and really friendly. You can always find someone to help you out if you need anything. It's a small town so safety is never a concern. The diversity is the only downside, being a small town everyone is fairly similar. However overall this school is great and I recommend for its great academics and awesome staff!

West Fargo Sheyenne Middle School
- West Fargo Public Schools, ND
- Rating 4 out of 5 1 review
Junior: As a student who is flying through high school at a pace that barely allows me to breathe, Sheyenne has held a few of the most impactful teachers that I know. Each teacher has a steadfast dedication to ensuring their students are at the top of their game and succeeding at more than just schoolwork. The mentorship they provide is unparalleled in any school in the West Fargo area and the advantage of having teachers that engage their students through real-world examples allows us to fully appreciate our education. The community never stops with the grade though, it continually moves forward in the culture of being a Mustang. The faculty make being a student a role in our community that encourages volunteering and involvement in passions outside of class. Being a student at Sheyenne is so much more than learning, it’s about setting knowledge into action.
