Parent: I want to add my support as the parent of two recent Bancroft graduates. As much as it was clear while my kids were still there that Bancroft was a great school (both in terms of academic strength and in terms of inspiring, caring teachers), I didn't really understand how great it was until they started college. Both of them went on to highly selective colleges (one of them with a $100K merit scholarship), and when they got to college, they just excelled. Something about the Bancroft approach to inquiry and curiosity, writing, public speaking, and self-advocacy was the perfect alchemy for college success. They were both much better prepared than their college classmates, and both ended up being a go-to resource for college friends who weren't as strong at thinking independently, writing, and participating in a college community. Junior: From the moment I stepped on campus I have felt welcomed. Everyone was so incredibly friendly which meant that making friends was easy. All my teachers have gone above and beyond to ensure I have had the best experience possible. I have had endless opportunities to try and experience new things. Some of my favourite activities I have done include ski team and the scientific research trip to Bermuda. The sports at WA are top notch and you are held to a high standard from teammates and coaches. Worcester academy is aware that students may struggle due to the rigorous academics and competitive sports teams however the Worcester Academy community is constantly coming together to support one another. One of my favourite things about WA is how close our community is, as a rising junior I am happy to say I am friends with people I’m grades above and below me and have friends in many different social groups. Alum: I loved the people, and the education itself was incredible. I was challenged and supported academically in order to better succeed in college. I loved the teachers, and their willingness to help you in any way they could really was apparent. As an alumni now, I am proud to say that I went to such a well rounded school, and their initiatives to promote diversity and empowerment really added to my takeaways, and experience as a whole. One thing that I did not love about Bromfield was that it was often strict and biased on expectations. For example, we had a dress code that was often only directed towards female students. Additionally, if you were a star student or athlete, you were often exempt from punishment or rules, or had a slap on the wrist, whereas for anyone else, the consequences would have been much greater. All in all, this is a very minor issue in comparison to the many positive aspects of the school. They strive for greatness, and they give us the opportunities to do so.... Read 73 reviews

Middle School Student: There couldn't be a better middle school. The teachers at this school are as perfect as is humanly possible. The variety of subject matter and activities offered allowed me to discover myself. When I lost my luggage on the eighth grade Washington D.C. field trip one teacher purchased me all new clothing and toiletries with their own money. Every member of the staff at this school loves the students like they're their own children. I had fun, learned a lot, and made many friends. Best three years of my life! Parent: Whitinsville Christian School is not just a school, it's a family. One of my girls has attended K-2 and the other just completed K. They feel loved by all the staff every day they walk in the building, which even includes staff at the front desk and teachers they haven't even had yet! As a parent, I feel like the staff care about me as well. Everyone is always so welcoming. We've built relationships and my children are excited to go back to school in August. They miss their friends and teachers. The other night, my youngest prayed that she could hug her teacher again. I contacted her teacher and she met up with us just so she could get that hug! WCS is not just a school, it's an extension of your family. The academic aspect of the school has put both my girls beyond many of their peers who attend other schools. Parent: My three children have been attending SLA for five years now. The school feels like family! All the teachers know and engage with my children, even if they haven't had them in their class. Because it's a small school the students get lots of one-on-one instruction and all can participate in sports or music, not just the top 10%. My kids are participating in the honors program and are on track to attend competitive universities--I attribute much of that to the extra attention they get. Alum: I had a very pleasant, engaging experience at Tahanto. It is small enough that each student gets ample attention, but not so small that it felt crammed. I loved each year that I attended. I also received a lot of financial assistance from my school and admin which helped me continue my education; This was not super common as many of my peers did not experience financial hardship in the same way I did but my teachers and superiors never made me feel ashamed for receiving help. The one thing I would change is the lack of diversity. I went to school with less than 10 non-white students in all 4 years. There were probably less than 5 black students in the school at the time I attended. I would like to see the school diversified a bit. Otherwise, Tahanto is a GREAT school.... Read 92 reviews

Parent: I have 2 children enrolled at Bethany Christian Academy. The small class size and compassionate teachers ensure a quality experience for each and every student. My Kindergartener is reading well above expectations and can efficiently and independently work on math addition and subtraction. The K students are speaking Spanish, and most importantly are focusing on God's Word as the base for every subject. The Kindergarten teachers are amazing at helping each child. My Seventh Grader loves to learn and there are so many hands on projects and activities to really get the children engaged in learning. My daughter is reading at a 10th Grade level in 7th. Senior: West Boylston Middle High School has been a great, tight-knit community who are very welcoming and create an amazing environment for their students. Being a student at this school has overall been an amazing experience. All of the teachers are very, kind, welcoming, and overall create teachers who know how to do their job. The teachers do not just teach us their required academic but teach us many important life lessons that will help us beyond when we graduate high school. The teachers and faculty are not just there to teach us but they genuinely love their jobs and treat their students with respect and equality. While being such as small school may not be good for some reasons, the small school setting creates a tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone and bonds are greatly created.
