Senior: It was a hard adjustment when you're an angsty teen joining some new strict place but after actually trying it grows on you. The teachers for the most part really do care and connect with their students on a level that you normally don't see. you can tell that they truly have a passion for it and it's not just some job to them. some things campus-wise could be upgraded but no one has unlimited money to fix problems so I get that.... Junior: I have been attending Calvary Christian Academy for about 15 years now. This school is where I have learned and grown so much over the years. At Calvary Christian Academy, they really do teach “more than academics.” I have grown in my faith and have made lifelong connections at this wonderful school. The teachers really do care about their students, and the atmosphere is peaceful. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Calvary has not failed to provide a quality education through online means. Works Here: The teachers, staff and administration are amazing and create a "family-like" culture. Students are respectful and work hard. There is one-to-one technology for all students and a high level of STEM activities. Hydroponics, Aquaponics, Aeroponics, greenhouse and raised beds are embedded into the Ag-Sci curriculum for all grade levels. Garden to table program is part of the healthy lunch program and all students have access to a fresh salad bar daily. Alum: I'm now a high school student and I enjoyed my time at Ivy Hawn. The teachers (most of them) were fantastic, unfortunately most of those who taught me have left. I have a sibling who is currently in their middle school side and she doesn't like it all that much. She's been having trouble with a specific teacher and she's the most respectful, quiet, and enthusiastic student but this teacher has stressed her out beyond belief. Middle School Student: i love all the clubs at the school. One thing i would change is the favorite picking in sports/ clubs. I would also have a stronger system in bullying and take situations a little more seriously. This is because if not treated with the severity of the situation, it could lead to serious issues. Middle School Student: I am in the S.T.E.M program so I am away from the other kids that are not in it so I cannot tell you my experience from their point of view but I can tell you the S.T.E.M experience. I believe this school is GREAT! The teachers are very helpfuland make the learning experience fun, the students are very focused and very kind to each other.Classrooms are clean and,of course, child friendly.The field trips are very fun but also expensive so make sure you save money while you have the chance.If you are a parent here are two things to learn about the school, it is drug-free and bully-free so no need to worry about that. My overall experience is wonderful at this school so I hope you enjoy it as well. Middle School Student: The teachers' are good at their jobs. They know how to help their student's and most teachers do lunch tutoring and lunch remediation. There are not many fights but when there is, the administration watches the security camera's and suspends the students involved. The food isn't very bad but it isn't very good. Middle School Student: There is a great sense of community and involvement within the school in so many aspects! I am a PTA parent, coach sports, and am a homeroom parent. I love how much I can do for my son and his school. My son is in the honors program and is challenged on multiple levels that are preparing him not only for college, but for the real world. The honors students are held to a high standard and they help them to deliver and achieve the goals that are set for them. The teachers truly care about the students as individuals. They are not just bodies in seats or numbers. There have been a few instances when students were given outside projects to keep them on their toes. (This was requested!) My son has made more than a few friends since joining the school in 3rd grade. I can really see them being lifelong friends, too. We were welcomed from day one and made to feel comfortable. Alum: My experience at Ubic academy was a tremendous impacted! The people and the staff there were wonderful!I learned a lot at this school being I came to this school because of a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship. Being that God should be our top priority this school definitely accomplished that goal. I learned so much at this school and I even accomplished a lot of goals while being there. I had the chance to graduate a year early, but I stayed the extra year to not only get the bright future scholarship but to play another year of sports. While staying the extra year I finished first in my graduating class and I got valedictorian.
