Parent: IMG was an unexpected blessing for our son and family. While our son came to IMG as a very good athlete who previously had exposure to some very good coaching, the connection that track Coach’s Larry Ryan and Mark Napier made with him, took him to another level as a person and athlete. Just as important, was the exposure to high aiming and achieving kids from all over the world. Senior: The best thing about my college experience was the graphic design program. The courses were very comprehensive and provided me with a solid theoretical and practical foundation in areas such as logo design, digital illustration, website design, and animation. The teachers were passionate and experts in the field, which made the classes really enriching. In addition, the university had labs equipped with the latest design tools and software, which allowed me to develop my skills and work on creative projects. I also loved the student community at the university. I met many other students interested in graphic design, which gave me the opportunity to collaborate on joint projects, exchange ideas, and receive constructive feedback. Parent: Our son started this year, we had multiple factors that we considered in choosing SSES. The biggest one being how well he can be challenged & pushed to meet or exceed his potential. We held our child back a year because the curriculum is advanced & we wanted him to have time to adjust this year into the school. Best choice we made & love that the school is as advanced as they are. He is very smart & is challenged in places he needs to be without feeling the stress of feeling pushed. The teachers are professional and smart and adjust to the child's needs individually in order to help them advance to their highest potential. The class volume is low and the curriculum content is higher than public schooling even at this early school age. We are so confident he will advance year by year to prep for college with the best potential from school. Senior: I have been going to Manatee School for the Arts since I was in 6th grade. I am now a senior in high-school. I always enjoyed how we were able to express ourselves through our hair color, and now as a senior we are finally able to wear patterned pants. A fight we finally win. I love seeing how many different areas of the arts the school offers, and how there are so many new classes you can take. I always love seeing the school take in consideration of what students want. One of the downsides to this school is the councilors. They always call down kids who don't have anything wrong going on, or they never are there. Students should be able to talk to a trusted adult, but they can't if they are not there. I think we should have areas of coverage outside, the sun and rain make for dangerous situations. With coverage outside it lowers the risk of overheating from sunlight directly. Protection from the rain is also useful. In the end, I wish to see this school continue to grow and prosper.... Senior: Bradenton Christian School allowed me to enhance various aspects during my six years as a student. I was able to experience a great education while experiencing spiritual growth that I will be to carry on into my future. I had an enjoyable time surrounded with great classmates and teachers. I would hope that in the upcoming years BCS will be more flexible and encourage students to develop their creativity and ideas through engagement in class decisions, a broader variety of class options and club/activities. Senior: This school helped me through my 6th, 7th and 8th grade years. I had ample amounts of fun, however at the same time learning so much. Alum: I am now currently in high school and now that I look back to see what middle school was like I realised that is was pretty good. I really liked all my teachers except for math but maybe because that wasn't my best subject. They have lots of after school activities like clubs and sports and they are very easy to join. I completely recommend the National Junior Honor Society (it looks great for college and is something that is easy to join). Overall I would rate my past experience to be about an 8/10 just because of some of the kids there but you will find them at any school.... Read 1 review

Senior: The school is more hands on with students , people you meet there you get to know for the rest of your life til you leave that school. The school is also kindergarten through high school which makes it better because all your siblings can go to the same school. Although there aren’t many classes as a regular high school they still add new classes every year like acting and art history . The teachers there don’t give up on you until you pass which is like that with every single grade. This school makes it every single way easier and if your a senior they’ll make sure you have everything for colleges or technical schools. Also if you pass your fsa tests you get paid for passing , it depends on your grade. Let’s say you get 5 it’s $300 or a perfect score which is $1000 , lowest is a 3 for $50. Parent: My son had an excellent experience at King Middle School. As an advanced student, he was challenged in every class. The teachers were great at knowing how far to push him to excel. When he found classes boring or mundane, he was given extra work that was more advanced so that he continue to learn. Parent: It's my daughter's second year at Manatee Charter School and she really enjoys it. I will say we're having a better experience overall this year than we did last year. They've been following COVID protocol in some of the most effective ways possible, including hand sanitizing and temporal thermometer scans prior to letting students in the school at drop-off. My daughter loves her teacher and classmates and has really come out of her shell. She excels at all subjects and says her teacher makes learning fun. We did not have as much luck with her kindergarten teacher. Although she still got excellent grades, she was indifferent about school and didn't really enjoy talking about it. She couldn't tell me what she was learning in class. I think the teacher makes all the difference. You can tell most of the teachers and staff here really love kids, but I've seen other staff members become impatient with the children, especially during pick-up/drop-off.... Read 2 reviews
