Middle School Student: I'm an 8th grader at PCMS. Even throughout Covid 19 teachers tried incredibly hard to connect with students and encourage students to be "the best at getting better." Alike anywhere everyone has a different experience. They prepared students for the likely hood that they would be offered drugs or alcohol eventually and how to deal with problems like that. With grace and wisdom the CCS Team navigated the complexities and welcomed the students back to school in approximately 6 weeks! Freshman: For the most part it’s good, it allows the serious students like myself to move forward faster and allows for flexibility. The student body is different than you would find in a regular public school, RPA is very accepting of all types of people, and kids that might get teased or bullied at a normal public school find a welcoming environment at RPA, with that being said I am in the minority since I am more stereotypical looking and acting teen which makes it sometimes hard to connect with some of my classmates. Alum: Trinity guided students in a manner which was very effective in preparing them for college. However, Trinity being a small school meant few resources such as AP classes or sports teams, counselors or outside knowledge of the world. The religious aspect of the school creates a very tight knit community, which can be a great thing if you are Lutheran and also attend the church or participate in school activities such as the musical, choir, or sports, however it can be detrimental at times if your faith doesn't align with the Lutheran beliefs.... Parent: If you want your children to arrive at school eager to learn, and leave happy and energized for the next day, Seven Peaks is your school. Our family absolutely loves it. The culture of academic excellence combined with an International Baccalaureate Curriculum means that students not only dive deep into subject matter, but they also see the same topics intertwined across various subjects—math, art, spanish, design, etc. I see IB as the popular storyline teaching method on steroids! Plus since class sizes are capped 18 students, my children receive personalized instruction from their teachers—their unique needs and interests are met, they get extra help when needed or the freedom to go beyond in areas where they excel. My child is taught by loving, dedicated and qualified teachers and administrators who are genuinely interested in the well-being and education of our son. St. Francis offers its students a well rounded curriculum including the arts, music, and language. Through their field trips, students are able to have real world, hands on experiences.
