West Shore Christian Academy
Junior: This is my first year at West Shore, and it is quite a culture shock. The class sizes are extremely small, with only six senior girls this year! Conservative values are also highly emphasized here. For its size, West Shore's coursework is highly advanced -- which I love. The teachers are welcoming, and can always assist you because of a low student-to-teacher ratio. Music, art, and other extracurriculars are also surprisingly advanced. I joined the speech and debate team and the talented coaches helped me qualify for the NSDA state championship! The sports teams, frankly, are sub-par because of a limited number of players. However, athletics here is not about "winning;" it is about giving everybody a chance and helping each other grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I joined the soccer team despite having no soccer experience and built valuable relationships within my first few weeks at this school.
