Alum: Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy was the place I learned foundation and myself, I've been at the school since 6th grade and graduated this year! I appreciate Sci-Tech due to its student body and creativity, Sci-Tech is a smaller school but that makes it so personable and easier to get to know everyone's face. Senior: I have enjoyed my time at Capa. Overall, the people here are nice and there isn't a lot of drama. The range of courses is very limited, which is something that you have to weigh in comparison to the half a day you get to spend during majors (at least in high school). I'm a visual artist, and it's great. The teachers are laid back and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved outside of school. With that being said, the resources for the visual arts department are lacking. Our supply closet flooded and it never got fixed, and the water ruined a bunch of kids' artwork. The school lunches are pretty terrible, but that's standard for public school. Although there aren't your stereotypical jocks and popular kids, people do tend to form friend-groups, and some people stick with the same crowd. However, people are very friendly here and are pretty willing to strike up a conversation, especially if you start it. There are good and bad teachers here, so it's a gamble.... Read 329 reviews

Alum: This schools biggest strength is its diversity. After leaving this school I am comfortable meeting people from very different backgrounds, issues, ethnicities, etc,. There is a wide number of classes to take and plenty of fields to focus on when choosing classes. Not a lot of high schools have the classes or clubs that Woodland Hills has. I took advantage of plenty of AP courses, businesses related classes, cooking class and more! The teachers are amazing, they are not only teachers but they are ways to connect, feel like friends/family, and even help you with more than your school work. We have plenty of counselors and advisors to help with outside of school issues and I think that is a big advantage we have compared to other schools. The only issue with the school are the fights that do occur here and there, I do believe the media makes them look worse than what they really are but it is still a safety problem.... Alum: I went to Dilworth in elementary school and truly loved it. We started every morning with music and singing, and then we walked off to class as the Rock band played. The teachers make Dilworth such a positive and supportive place for all students, and are 100 percent devoted to teaching and love what they do. Diversity is celebrated at Dilworth. Music and art is also celebrated, and kids are encouraged to try new things and are given many opportunities to find something they can love. Senior: Kids these days are not getting the experience for everyday, outta school life. Forbes Road CTC is an excellent why for kids to explore different career paths and learn to be responsible and respectful. Kids can join various organizations such as : SkillsUSA, Future Business Leaders of America, Future Farmers of America, and more. Kids even grow as individuals throughout their years there. With 15 different classes kids can explore and possibly find their niche. There has been kids who went to being almost school drop ours to holding high honors since they started. If that doesn't show you how amazing this school is then i do not know what to say. This school changes lives for the better and I wish more kids had this choice to explore this amazing school or even a Vocational school.... Read 1 review
