Alum: Science Academy was a great school in terms of education quality and classmates. We were also given direct access to advanced equipment in the engineering lab such as 3D Printers, Acrylic Printing Machines, Multiple Cutting Devices, and more- all for free! I am also very fond of the environment I was immersed in. Science Academy is a very competitive school. Its environment only motivated me to do better in my classes. The only thing that kept me from giving this rating a 5 stars was the sudden shift in rules that dampened my senior year. Administration changed a lot of the long term traditions that I anticipating enjoying when I was a freshman and definitely looked forward to as a senior such as the Renfest trip, Collaboration on Fridays, and being able to enjoy lunches with my Med High friends. Junior: I have been going to South Texas ISD Health Professions since my Freshman year of High school. I have built so many friendships and relationships. They have the most amazing daily schedules, so I am never overwhelmed or overworked. They have no school uniform policy which really lets students express who they are and allow students to have religious freedom in their style of clothing. Senior: World Scholars, as well as the district, have been fantastic. Since junior high, I've been a student in the STISD district, and they have the best instructors. The teachers here are what keep you moving forward; even if you think something is impossible, they will always try to work with you to find a solution; their want to teach you is apparent; it is their passion. The IB classes and dual enrollment programs at World Scholars set it apart from other schools. You can either complete the IB diploma program in its whole or take dual enrollment courses at UTRGV or STC, or take both IB for the diploma and dual! Junior: I would say that as a junior in Medical Professions, it has been great since 2020, even virtually the school did everything possible to ensure students were learning by having a zoom meeting at the end of the day with their advisory teacher. Today, most of the teachers stay after school to help students who have a hard time understanding the material, there are very kind, friendly and always willing to help. This school has taught me to overcome every obstacle along the way to reach my goals. It has taught that in life everything is challenging, but with the support of our teachers(for now), integrity, leadership, and determination; your dreams are within reach of your hands. In fact, seniors choose a certificate their last year at Medial Professions such as MA, EMT, Pharmacy and/or Dental Assistant. Senior: My experience at veterans memorial early college high school was awesome! Ever since my freshman year my goal was to make the varsity soccer team and I was able to, before I knew it my freshman year I made the varsity squad. The school also has a health and welcoming environment. Most teachers are very nice and helpful and will give you the attention you need to help you out. There is no bullying what so ever everyone there is nice and includes people instead of excluding. Senior: My experience at Sharyland Advanced Academic Academy was perfect. I build a lot of wonderful memories and friendships, and lastly, I've advanced academically in my studies. This is an early college school that gives you the opportunity to graduate high school with an associated degree. I wouldn't change anything about this school I really enjoyed my 4 years of high school, since it is an early college there is a limited of students that get in we all build a bond and we all know each other as a class. Junior: My overall experience at Porter Early College High School was phenomenal. The teachers go above and beyond for their students. The staff is also very friendly when it comes to advice, help, and when a student needs a good laugh. I will honestly miss this campus when I graduate. Senior: Rivera Early College High School is a school with many interesting aspects. It has good academic resources for students to prepare for College and University.
