Sophomore: Suncoast Polytechnical High School (SPHS) is a charter school that requires students to challenge themselves academically. The school accomplishes this through its rigorous courses and high expectations. This school provides a multitude of courses, but they are mainly high-leveled and specialized fields of study. If a student knows what they wish to do in the future than this is the school for them. There are not a small number of options available for students to choose from in the course department. This school handles many courses and often works with Sarasota Technical College to provide students an even greater selection of courses. Any classes available are challenging and do not cause the mind to “melt” out of sheer boredom or lack of stimulation. However, these classes are not so challenging that high school students can’t pass them. In the end, SPHS is a school that nurtures the mind and encourages the progress and pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
