Senior: I have been in this school for 4 years now, they offer many activities in the school. The best experience I have so far is the teachers. The teachers I have had are kind and easy going, they will interact with the students and make the classroom even fun. And there can be other staff members most students don't like but overall is good. Some worst parts of my experience is whenever when using the restroom, we have a passing period but many people go and use the restroom during that time. The problem is that affects students tardiness and should fix this situation. What I would like to see a change if also the school supporting the music program, I feel the music program should be balanced out with sports too because they put out so much effort to play and perform for other sports but don't recognized by their actions.... Senior: In my four years at Sycamore High School, a lot has happened. I started my freshman year off during Covid, which began online then ended with me going to school in person. I had no idea how to navigate the school, little one-on-one time with my classmates, and was completely new to high school. Even so, it was fun and surprisingly not too difficult to manage. My sophomore year was hands down my favorite year, even though I’m still in my first semester of senior year. It was fun, easy, engaging, and a breath of fresh air from the previous year of sickness and stress. The mask mandate was a change made (an arguable one) but as the world changed so did the school. Everyone always say junior year is the hardest, and while I assumed everyone was just being dramatic, they were right. I went from an easy going, fun year to a stressful, non-stop year of burnout and overwhelming assignments. I longed for breaks, whether from the many assignments given per class to SAT prep.... Alum: I personally would like to see a change in the staff, I believe that some of the staff at Kaneland high school are only there to make money, not because their main interest is the students. Teachers should love the work they do and take pride in it and be involved. Many of the teachers weren't involved and engaging with their students, and they should be. Senior: I joined Cornerstone as an international student from Rwanda and I was amazed by how nice and friendly the teachers are. Also, the amazing thing is that it is a Christian school and they give students a chance to learn about God. Cornerstone also being really diverse has helped to learn so many things about other countries in different parts of the world. My favorite thing as a senior was joining basketball because though I had never played before, the coaches and the team were really amazing and they love and support one another.Through cornerstone i have been able to improve my English schools and they have done a good job in preparing me for my life calling....
