Alum: It’s a shame the school is not rated hired on the national boarding school rankings. Culver attracts the most well rounded students in the country. The combination of intellectual skills, athletic ability, and leadership traits present in the study body is remarkable. The tops students attend, the top athletes and the top leaders. You are truly surrounded by exceptional people. The institution is grounded in rich history and has stayed true to its mission over the course of its long existence. Senior: If you've seen any rankings/reviews, you know this school is rigorous. But because students choose to attend this high school, the student body consists of like-minded individuals who like learning and pushing academic boundaries There is a spot for everyone here—as each class is ~100 students, Signature has a very close-knit community. The faculty is amazing without exception; their love for teaching and care for the students is clear Signature feels like home. The countless clubs—with focuses in service, language/culture, academics, pride, sports (esp. recent years), etc—encourage intergrade interactions & relationships This school has an open campus! Many students go out to eat and most enjoy lunch outside. There are currently 3 buildings, and for this reason (considering it's in downtown Evansville), students must take extra care to be safe. Freshman: This school is excellent! I am currently a freshman and i have never felt more at home. There is however a concern that there are not in enough AP courses. For the almost four years I have been attending, Carmel has proven how their high-quality teachers and curriculum can allow students to reach academic achievement. The facility, more specifically counselors, has provided tremendous support in the segway from the remainder of a student's high school experience to college, making the transition much less stressful. Not only does Carmel have outstanding scholastic fulfillment, but the endless clubs and state-winning athletic programs allow for students to become involved with the school and the community inside the classroom and out. Senior: Zionsville High School is a large, appealing public high school. Recently it's undergone changes to better accommodate the lives of students such as a new cafeteria and entrance. We have several options to pick for lunch every day, but usually it's the same few options every day. I've had mostly positive experiences with the staff. I believe most the staff tries to create a safe inclusive learning environment for all students. I also have not had a class where I felt I was not being taught anything useful or being forced to do too much at once. The social atmosphere here is very good. I haven't seen many problems with bullying, and there are little to no fights here. I think this school prioritizes sports over other extra curriculars. I would be interested in events for clubs other than sports. This school is definitely not very diverse. Junior: The school has been nothing but extraordinary. It is one which gives a vast span academic rigor and the 11:1 student-faculty ratio gives an amazing opportunity for one-on-one student teacher time. The teachers and staffing do everything with student success in mind. Not only this, but there are many times throughout the day built in for students to meet with teachers in subject offices, complete homework or socialize. The school does an amazing job of providing a great balance between work and fun. With students constantly attending sporting events, club meetings and other school led activities, the different grade levels are able to interact. Also, it is not super religious. Students can participate in relies events at their choice. The school offers amazing scholarship opportunities and highly ranked athletic teams (2021-22 W. Volleyball, M. Soccer, M. Senior: I have been attending LCA ever since I was in second grade. As a senior now, I’ve seen some benefits as well as some things that need to change. One thing I love about my school is the class sizes. With only 20 students in my grade, it helps us to connect to each other. I know everyone’s name, not just in my class but in the whole school, and everyone knows my name as well. Being in class where you know everyone provides a safe-feeling learning environment where you don’t feel judged. My class has always said, ever since elementary, that we are tight knit, like family who are always there for each other. I cherish that but that doesn’t make it perfect. There are parts of my school that I’d like to see change. My school struggles with money management. I think it would be beneficial for them to spend money on buying new textbooks because some of ours are outdated.
