Parent: My son has been at Good Shepherd for three years and we've been very happy. He has had made great friends in the small classes, and gets plenty of attention from the dedicated teaching staff. He also loves the "perks" like the outdoors program, where they walk over to nearby Forest Hill park and down by the James River to learn about nature and Richmond. We also like that, even though it's small, there kids from all kinds of different backgrounds, which was different from what we found in a lot of the other schools we looked at.... Read 14 reviews

Parent: Simply put, St Joseph Catholic School has provided an environment where each of my three children have been able to grow spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. The size of the school allows for teachers to really know their students and their families. Families know one another. The school community feels like an extension of family. Also, love that the school is K-8! Curriculum and teaching instruction/practices are solid and because of the size, very consistent and sequential from one year to the next. My children’s faith continues to grow and develop at SJCS…the teachers model their faith daily. My children pray regularly at school, attend Mass, take part in retreats, learn about their faith, and have a chance to practice their faith in action.
