Senior: Elk River High School is an amazing school that is full of opportunities for any student that walk in the doors. The staff goes out of there way to welcome students, and creat a great learning environment that promotes a healthy desire to learn and focus each and every day. ERHS is the perfect sized school since it is not too big but not too small, which makes it easy to make a wide variety of friends, while also feeling close to your classmates. There are a multitude of classes that are available to all students including multiple painting, clay, sculpting, drawing, culinary, woodwork, and photography classes that majority of students enjoy and excell at. We have a phenominal band and choir, and our football team goes all the way to the state championship nearly every year! ERHS is also known for our amazing hockey team, and because of this a brand new hockey area was established. Senior: Becker High school gave me a fairly decent high school experience. I was able to connect with multiple teachers throughout my four years, many of whom shaped me into the person I am today. Along with that the athletics here are above average for example last year we sent seven teams to compete in the state tournament. Sophomore: Zimmerman is a great school! It gets bad rep for being in a small town, but everybody is great and the teachers are always willing to help. All school events are fun, especially the football games, and there is a lot of school spirit. There isn't a huge selection for classes, but there are enough classes to get what you want in an education. Something that may worry some people is that it's connected with the middle school, however, you do not see them very often as they have their own area of the school. I always feel safe when I come to school and do not feel worried about being harmed. The classrooms are just like normal classes as well as the other facilities in the school. The school just got a new auditorium and it is extremely nice. Our sports aren't the greatest, but you will be guaranteed to have fun in a loose environment if you decide to participate. Much has changed since I was a student in a smaller community at the time, but BLHS has really stepped up in the last decade to genuinely become a school of the students, by the students and for the students. This is our principal's motto! We have built lasting partnerships with our community and in my 18 years in education I have never been more excited about the opportunities we provide for our students.
