Works Here: Saint Thomas More Academy offers a great college preparatory curriculum. The schools provides one-on-one guidance for students that walks them through the college application process from course selection to letters of recommendation. There are so many opportunities for students to engage in leadership roles, extra-curricular clubs/activities and athletics. The Arts Program is a wonderful opportunity for novice and arts majors alike! You can be involved in sports even if you've never played before. The basketball program, volleyball program and tennis teams always do very well and typically make it to state level competitions each year. The students and faculty are very friendly and welcoming. About half of the students are Catholic and half are not. The environment is safe and nurturing. It is a great place to learn and grow! The school facilities are great...athletic fields, gym, science labs, and lunches are amazing.

Senior: I enjoy my high school experience at Caesar Rodney. For the most part, I have had very good teachers who have valued my education and success. The music program has helped me to grow as a musician, and realize that music is my career goal. With guidance of my teacher, I am able to grow my skills, learn new techniques, and grow my passion for music. I have enjoyed my experience, however, I have not had good math teachers. The only other complaint I have is that the hallways are very overcrowded, however, they are making an addition to the school, so steps are happening to improve this issue.

Senior: It's a great school, with wonderful vocational technical programs! I am currently in the Engineering Design Technology (EDT) career technical area, and it is the best shop by far. It includes a nationally-recognized engineering curriculum known as Project Lead The Way (PLTW).

Senior: The teachers are very knowledgeable in their field. They actually care about you and are commited to your success. Their care is unparalled to any other school I know. The tutoring services are proficient and accessible. I was also able to complete six college credits/elec give a in my high school career. The school resources are limited. Public schools do have better equipment. The building is small compared to other high schools in the area. Calvary's clubs and activities are very few because of their limited resources. However, the culture of the school is very welcoming. Overall, I valued the connections I made there and enjoyed my experience, despite the varied shortcommings of the school. I felt confident of my academic ability from my education at Calvary Christian Academy.

Senior: So far I have enjoyed my experience at Smyrna High. The environment here is very friendly and welcoming, I've made some life long friends from being at this school. The academics are taught well and the sports are a large focus for the school, and in result it causes them to be coached very well. The facility is normally clean and orderly and all the teachers/administrators care about their students. The only thing that isn't the best is the school lunches, they could be better.

Senior: There are more Advanced Placement, Honors and Dual enrollment classes offered here than any other high school in Delaware. It prepares you largely for college. The food may not be the greatest but the cafeteria staff is the most welcoming kind and hardworking individuals in the school greeting every student with a smile daily. The DHS Marching Band has molded me into a leader and high functioning performer thanks to the direction of band director Garrett George. The musicianship at this school is second to none. It is a bittersweet feeling as a senior knowing that I have to leave arguably the best high-school in the state. As a DHS Senator and soon-to-be alum, I am extremely proud to be a product of DHS #SenatorNation

Senior: First State Military Academy is a fantastic school for those who are not too fond of big schools. There is definitely more structure compared to most public schools. The teachers are outstanding, all of the teachers are always willing to lend a helping hand. The majority of the teachers truly care about their students. One downside to this school is the lunch. The lunches are not very good taste wise nor proportionately. They're also $3.00 for a small meal unless you qualify for free lunches. There are not too many extra curricular activities but if you ask to start up a new one, it is absolutely possible!

Senior: As a current high school senior, my experience here at Early College High School has been a great success. I am and was able to take college courses at Delaware State University ever since my sophomore. As a result I will graduate with two transcript and hopefully spend about three years in college instead of four. I also enjoyed participating in extracurricular activities such as dance and the school choir in my first three years.

Senior: My experience at Capitol Baptist has been one that has made me who I am today. This school has helped me tremendously in my spiritual life as well as in my academics. I loved the one on one time with the teachers and the effort and time they put into each and every student. I received many opportunities which I would have never gotten if I did not attend this school. I would recommend Capitol Baptist School to anyone. It's one of the best around.
