Alum: Coxsackie-Athens High School was a close-knit community of teachers and students who supported each other and helped me to become the person I am today. The teachers are amazing and the level of academics was challenging and exciting. We had a great sports team and great opportunities here. My most enjoyable opportunity was the college-in-high school program which allowed me to take college credits before I even got to college. Because of it, I was able advance an entire year ahead in college! Thank you Coxsackie Athens.

Senior: I really enjoyed the academic staff and the one on one with all my teachers. I would like to see more options for the amount of course i could take. I would like to have more extra curricular activities.

Greenville High School
#3 Best Public High Schools in Greene County

Junior: Overall, my experience with the Greenville Central School District has been positive. Every year I have studied here, I feel I have learned all the information I need to succeed in my examinations and more in almost all of my classes. For a small, rural school, Greenville has very successful athletics teams which I have had the privilege of both participating and taking leadership roles in. The extracurricular programs are diverse and plentiful, with the Future Farmers of America club standing out as an incredibly useful program for students to improve as leaders, orators, agriculturalists, and members of the community. The facilities of Greenville are older and do not meet modern demands for high school athletics; however, renovations are currently underway which will provide the school with an entirely new track, along with tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, and soccer fields.

Alum: No matter where you go, high school is high school and kids will do their own thing. There are the rednecks that peal out of the parking lot and “nerds” that hold study parties. What unified the school, at least for me, was the music program that accepted absolutely everyone. We have annual musicals and as we say, “once play family, always play family”. I’m even going to my music teacher’s wedding!

Cairo-Durham High School
- Cairo-Durham Central School District, NY
- 56 reviews
Sophomore: Cairo-Durham High School is the typical school that, upon first glance, may seem to deserve two stars for its old, mundane design and structure. However, the educational opportunities within are infinite for the most eager-to-learn students and challenging for the most scholarly. With new building updates that will be implemented in the coming years and course opportunities that are constantly expanding, Cairo-Durham High School is the exemplar of an educational institution that facilitates both College and Career Readiness and the critical thinking required in the modern world.

Senior: Hunter-Tannersville is a small school with an inviting atmosphere. When graduating with roughly thirty kids in your graduating class, you form a unique familial bond with all of your classmates. In addition to this, all of the teachers that I have had experience with, which is nearly all of them, are extremely knowledgeable and helpful in their respective fields, while also remaining personable.
