Petoskey High School
#2 Best Public High Schools in Emmet County
- Public Schools of Petoskey, MI
- Rating 3.59 out of 5 164 reviews
Junior: Petoskey High School is a great school, with many friendly staff members. I was always able to get help if I did not understand something. Every teacher would go out of their way to help any student. The only thing that I would like to see change is that we get more female oriented sports teams.
Our sport programs are not the best, and what we do have for female teams are scarce. The cheerleaders are considered to be a part of a "club", there is no dance team or a female lacrosse team, among other things. If my school was able to provide more female sports then the female student body would become much more fit, healthy and kind!

Harbor Light Christian School
- Private School
- HARBOR SPRINGS, MI
- PK, K-12
- Rating 4.4 out of 5 10 reviews
Senior: Though my experience at Harbor Light Christian has only been for two years, I feel that the preparation for many different aspects of life is very solid. I know that I have excelled in every subject through my time here. The teachers teach very thoroughly and classroom atmosphere is enjoyable in most, if not all classes. The other students attending are also very enjoyable to be around. Although, since it is private school, the class sizes are smaller and I would have liked to attend a school with a larger student body.

Concord Academy of Petoskey
- Public School
- PETOSKEY, MI
- Rating 4 out of 5 17 reviews
Senior: Overall, it was a good experience. I think there could be better communication between the student body and administration when it comes to students trying to address issues they see. The arts and music is excellent. However, theater productions had to be rushed at times as students were called to other activities that took away focus.

Alanson Public School
- Alanson Public Schools, MI
- PK, K-12
- Rating 4.5 out of 5 4 reviews
High School Sophomore: I love my school, but it's hard to get ahead in academics without scheduling problems. As a result, I've had to take some classes online, which I didn't enjoy. Overall, I love the small school environment and community! My teachers are very helpful and encouraging, and have gone above and beyond to help me reach my goals. All of the students have tons of school spirit, and many come to the sporting events as well as play the sports.
