Alum: The years I spent at this school was the best four years I could have ever asked for. Despite new teachers coming in every year, you always create a bond with them. The staff and students are not only friendly but also helpful. The community is always there for each other and always tries to help when they can. If you want to be in a small town, a small school that feels very homey I would suggest Udall Highschool. I have had nothing but great experiences here, and I did almost everything they had to offer in sports, organizations, and clubs. It is easy to be involved, and easy to make a future here.... Senior: Winfield High School has been a good experience. It provides a nice and safe environment with mostly all good teachers. These teachers hold us to a higher standard than most public schools in the state of Kansas, and they are always willing to help. Our facilities are in good condition, while some are fairly new. The facilities will provide any student or student-athlete to improve in whatever area is needed. Unfortunately, some sports do receive a little neglect from funding. The "main" sports here are not very good. Even though diversity is low, it is growing and there is little racism. Food quality has improved over the last year, but it still isn't very good. The unique thing about Winfield High is our health science careers program. students in the program have the opportunity to learn and get first hand experience within the medical field. Students can use this experience for jobs or even get a job where they mentored. Overall, Winfield is a good school that can use improvement.... Read 87 reviews

Alum: Overall, it was a pretty good experience. Most of the teachers were nice and taught well enough so that you'd learn as long as you paid attention. Some were more engaging than others in order to make the assignments fun and get students invested. One complaint is that there wasn't very many extracurricular activities or clubs to be involved in, other than sports and the exceptional music and art programs. However, they do a good job of directing funds towards these programs. The school did a poor job of truly trying to engage and connect with the students, so that sense of school pride and community could often be lost. However, they were very good about allowing the students to express themselves and be who they are without repercussions. Additionally, they were diligent in ensuring student safety. So, although it may have been a fairly bland experience, besides memories made with teammates and friends, the overall ability for students to learn and feel safe and accepted was present....
