High School Senior: No matter what I will always like Maxwell High School. I have been there for its highs and its lows. My freshman and sophomore years were great and after that it slowly went downhill. It's not the school the makes the experience what is is (injoyable/uninjoyable) it's the people you share it with. This is a VERY small school and it does its best that I can given its size. I have had so many opportunities at this small school that I know I wouldn't have had at a bigger school and for that I am grateful. I wish more people would realize this and appreciate the fact that even the most I athletic people get a chance to play on a sports team (with tryouts at bigger schools this would not be possible). It's also extremely special that students at Maxwell High School know everyone's name. So what I'm trying to say is that at this time Maxwell High School is nowhere near the greatness that it has been, but I was there when it was great and it has been great in the past as well. Niche User: I loved the diversity in such a small school. I loved that our teachers went above and beyond to help us meet our scholastic needs. One teacher in particular was a volunteer at the fire station and was there for me and my family after we got into a horrible car wreck.... Read 9 reviews

Junior: I love the community that our school has built. All the students and teachers are very close, it's not just some random school, we're all like family. The teachers and staff are amazing, they reach out to students and they do their absolute best to try and help us succeed. One thing that I do wish would change is the amount of short term teachers our school goes through. Most new teachers work at this school and only stay for a year or two if they are not fired. We have had some amazing teachers come through our school but they are almost never long term. Other than that, I would say that our school really strives for each and every one of us to succeed.... Senior: I like that Colusa High School is truly a welcoming environment and students receive the assistance they need. For being such a small school, the faculty truly goes above and beyond to provide the best experience for all students. The sports programs outstanding, college preparation is great, and CHS offers an outstanding number of clubs and activities. CHS is part of the heart of Colusa and the amount of community support received is amazing! I have loved my experience at Colusa High School. I have held numerous leadership positions, have attended every school function and event possible, and have also played three sports each year throughout high school. I believe that life is what you make it, which means high school is what you make it and Colusa High definitely sets students up for success and provides the opportunity for each student to pursue their desired path.... Senior: I liked how open we were, open to allowing new students, being able to leave campus, rewarded for good grades, and excellent staff members. Williams has a variety of good qualities In fact they even offer college courses through woodland community college. It has allowed me to advance and receive college units before even entering college.
