Senior: In my high school career, I've seen a lot of change, growth, and adaptation. My freshman year is when COVID-19 hit. The school struggled to maintain a balance between online courses and in-person safety precautions, but we all pulled together as a whole. The staff and administration held the school together to make everything go as smoothly as possible for every student. Our school isn't just a place to learn, we are a family. We take our sports and clubs just as seriously as our academics. Each member of our staff has a big part in what makes us an amazing school. Our traditions have been going on for years and they are what makes us stand out from other schools. For example, at the end of each school year, our seniors pass a balloon to the juniors to step them up for their final year in high school. The juniors pass a balloon to a senior sending them off as congratulations for finishing high school and starting a new chapter of their life. We release them outside as a send-off.... Senior: I love the small community; it involves everyone. We have a 4-day week and was our choice that made sure if we could have even gotten into the 4-day week is based on ACT, Map, and other large tests. Since it is a smaller town it doesn't have as much diversity, but it has over 4 different types of churches in the town. Sports are more favored in our school than the Arts. Senior: I love many of the teachers in Cameron, along with other staff members. I also enjoyed the majority of my classes. We participate in the best pep rallies and assemblies in our gym (at least we did before COVID), and we have an amazing amount of school spirit. The main problem I ever had with my school is with the other students, but that didn’t include everyone. I had quite a few friends over the years, and I enjoyed the extracurricular activities I participated in. I haven’t always been happy with my school, the other students, teachers, or classes, but I do love my school, and I will be proud to graduate from Cameron High School.... Read 64 reviews
