Our two kids that graduated felt prepared for their college experience and our kids graduating this year are both enrolled in college for the fall. The communication between the school and parents is healthy. We feel connected to our child's education and welcome to be involved. The staff of CHS are an outstanding group of teachers who enjoy working with one another and teaching kids. Alum: High school was very surreal. For a long time I didn't realize that high school was only one chapter of my life, but when I was in high school I was living everyday to the fullest. I did not want high school to end. The high school experience is what makes us who we are. For the most part I saw kids develop skills to help them in everyday life. At least I developed skills that have made me a successful student and person. The staff and students became a second home. a place I could call home away from home. The school was trying to help the kids. They wanted us to be successful. It wasn't a situation where they leave us to figure it out but instead they helped. From the first day of freshman year until the day of graduation they were cheering you own. I truly believe it takes a village to take care of a kid and for me the school was my village. Senior: I think that my time at Cashmere was an overall pleasant experience. It is a sports-centric school and is competitive. This deterred me from playing sports. It is a small school with small classes. There is also a lot of opportunities with internships and community service that are easy to access. There is a very large lack of diversity because of the location of Cashmere. Parent: Our kids have been at the River Academy for five years now. We have absolutely loved it! The teachers and staff have all been so loving and supportive. It feels like a big family at the River Academy. When our family was going through difficult times the school came along side us, loved us, prayed with us and for us and gave extra love and attention to our kids. Senior: I enjoy being a student at WHS, especially being in the AP classes. The teachers who teach AP classes have all be the most awesome teachers I've ever had! The sports environment has always been awesome, and other sports are supportive of each other. The coaches are usually teachers as well, so there are always friendly faces all around the high school. Junior: I'm currently a Junior at the high school and my experience has been pretty alright. The school itself is quite small,but that's really nice since you don't have to worry about the insanely crowded hallways. The only downsides is that not as many fun things are offered here at Entiat that I've seen offered elsewhere. Spirit week isn't as fun as other high schools I've been, not much school spirit from students and that really doesn't help. Most of the teachers are quite pleasant, though there are a few that tend to have favoritism way too much which I believe is wrong. There are some students willing to help others, but as with any school there are those who see themselves as above everyone else. Despite these things, for it's size, Entiat is really quite an amazing school and I'm happy to attend it.... Read 22 reviews

Niche User: Teachers give their students undivided attention. The staff truly cares about the success of the students. When I was a sophomore and going through some difficult times, many of my teachers reached out to me and helped me get on track academically, which resulted in some relief of emotional stress. The trimester system also provides great options for students of all varieties. Students who have shown independence and passion for a subject are allowed more freedom to pursue other endeavors, like internships and project based learning. Senior: I really struggled in the "mainstream" school system and thought that Westside would be no different but I found that at Westside not only do the teachers genuinely care about their students but they will go out of their way to do what it takes for them to succeed in school and in their own everyday lives.... Alum: I started at Upper Valley Christian school in kindergarten and graduated as my class valedictorian (class of 2018) with two of my best friends. Seeing as how I basically grew up in that community and attended a small, private, Christian school, I had a personal relationship with each of the teachers and other faculty there.
