Al-Noor Academy offers many courses for such, like Islamic Sciences, Quranic Studies, and more. Additionally, the math, science, history, literature, and so many other courses are wonderful. The teachers care for each and every student to help them thrive in these rigorous classes. When you walk through the halls, you can sense the joy and happiness of the students and staff, similar to a bonded family. I have only been attending this school for 6 months in 8th grade, however I already feel at home and I've learned an unumerable amount of information in all subjects. Senior: As I Senior at the school, I can attest that Feehan is an amazing school and I highly recommend for those who want to pursue college. Before you even start freshman year, they have events to help you connect to other students. In addition, Feehan has enough clubs/sports to satisfy anyone’s interests. The school is great at emphasizing the importance of Catholic values and service to the community. Almost every club will be doing some type of service, and each student needs at least 60 hours of service to graduate. Feehan offers 4 levels of classes, besides AP, for each subject that all prepare students for college. The guidance I have received when applying to colleges has been spectacular. You are even required to take a semester SAT prep class during sophomore or junior year. The teachers are all wonderful at what they do and strive to help students achieve. Junior: Dartmouth High School has been an opportunity for me to build a family; a family of friendships. In the last three years I have bonded with a group of 8 girls who I am proud to call my best friends. It is because of the extensive activity options and over-emphasis on student-based participation that I collected my unblood-family members through sports including track, volleyball, and tennis and also clubs such as the Women's Empowerment Club and Political Science Club. The best part of high school for me has been finding my people, but that doesn't mean my experience has been picture perfect. Senior: Despite covid taking two years away from my high school experience, I have had a fantastic time at Stang. Alum: My experience at Mansfield High School has been a mixed one. On one hand, I built a good foundation academically in which i could succeed, but I feel there were missed opporutnities. One of the glaring gaps in my experience was the limited availability of Advanced Placement (AP) classes. I wished for a broader curriculum to explore my interests. Additionally, I believe I should have been allowed to take more AP classes. These courses not only offer rigorous academic challenges but also better prepare students for the demands of higher education. While I did my best with the opportunities presented to me at Mansfield High School, in hindsight compared to schools my friends went to, I feel like I missed out on some opportunities. Senior: Seekonk High School has been a place for me that has furthered my development both physically and mentally. Whether it be the teachers, administration, or even the custodians, everyone wants to make sure that you feel like you belong at the school and have a place where you fit in. There are many resources that help students figure out their interests and that will set them up for their future. Sophomore: Offerings for academic enrichment are average compared to others, but they are definitely open to students broadening them. Thus far, clubs of this nature are Science Club, Galedrial (literary magazine), Math League, and Biology Club. When my friends and I contacted administration about starting the last of those, they embraced it with open arms. Their club composition is clearly focused on student engagement, and thus, students can start the clubs they want to see. Offerings in all other regions are superb. Course offerings are above average, offering several AP classes in common core subjects as well as many in foreign language, business, and computer science. Elective composition is fairly diverse and has a decent fit for a variety of potential interests. Alum: I graduated from GBCA and was more than prepared for college. There are things here or there that I would do differently, but overall I loved my time there. Anything that I wanted, if expressed with respect and thought, they provided for me. I wanted more advanced classes so they found the way for me to take AP classes, have sports and other social opportunities. Sophomore: I love going to Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School. I can't imagine going anywhere else. For starters, the school offers a great variety in not only academic courses, but also sports and clubs! As a freshman, I was able to try out all sorts of things. They also offer a Career Tech Education wing, almost like a vocational school for students interested in work like woodworking or automotive. Lastly, the teachers and staff here are all experience and know their subjects well, as well as how to get personal with the students and properly help them. I love going to this school.... Alum: Overall, I enjoyed my time here. Most of the teachers I had are excellent people and were generally enthusiastic about what they taught. I feel like I could have been challenged more, and it seems like there was less options for academic classes than at larger high schools nearby. However, there are many great elective classes offered, and the arts department is top-notch. There is a decent selection of extracurricular activities and clubs, which is the best way to meet new people here and is arguably the backbone of the school culture. Fairhaven High's administration is its biggest flaw, especially the guidance department. I was completely left to fend for myself throughout the college process, the only times they tried to help were either far too late or ended up hurting me in the long run. Junior: Teachers are amazing, people are amicable, food is ok. Administration, however, has made some terrible decisions without regard to the students, parents, or faculty within the past few years. The school loves to hide things from us that cannot be ignored, like hate crimes in bathrooms and random decisions they decide to make out of the blue that affect your high school career. But, aside from administration, I really like this school. Finding a group here you can resonate with is easy and exploratory is super fun freshman year. Southeastern is a vocational school, so it is preparing you for a trade in the workforce rather than going to college/s. It is difficult since, personally, I am interested seeking a higher education, and am trying the best I can to stick out. A word of advice would be to research! Senior: The best part of GLCPS is the small community of it all. We all know each others names, and most of the names of the grades above and below us. Junior: The best parts of Durfee is the academic opportunities that it offers like the early college program and the college and honor classes. It not only provides education but it also helps me with college credits. Some classes even offer tips for college and prepare me for my majors and minors that I’m interested in for when I do go to college. The teachers there are really helpful in many ways too. Although there is a lot of work and it can be stressful it’s still worth it. My worst experiences would be like said the stress and the staying up on late nights. Freshman: My freshman year has been a great experience. The teachers are very nice, helpful and always available to students. There’s a variety of sports to get into. The school is very clean and I do feel safe at GNBVT. Senior: I enjoyed the aspect of being considered a family at Bristol Aggie. Everyone is supportive of everyone, and people are willing to standup for themselves and others. I also enjoyed all of the fantastic major options. Senior: I enjoyed my time at Diman Regional, I came from Westport, which is a small town in comparison to Fall River which for me was helpful in learning how to interact with many different people. I also liked how they were very helpful with getting assignments done, each teacher would have their own extra help days to stay after to help any kids who were falling behind. My peers and I found that very helpful. Something that I think could be improved would be their strictness. I understand that having intense rules keep everyone safe and orderly, but there are some rules that go a little too far, in my opinion. I know many students who have received a Saturday school for things that, in my opinion, are miniscule in comparison to other things that kids are doing.
