Senior: I started going to North Allegheny in 9th grade, and I have had a positive experience throughout the past four years. I believe North Allegheny has created an education program that engages the interest of students so that they want to learn. The teachers are passionate about what they teach, making challenging classes fun. My junior year I took Honors Anatomy and Physiology, which was more like an AP level course. It was the most difficult class I have taken, but ended up being the class I loved the most. There is not much I would change about my school, except it would also be nice if the were more windows in the building.

Senior: The community and school spirit of Archbishop Wood Highschool is unlike any other. Every pep rally, sporting event, or school production is full of wild applause and smiling faces. While choosing the best school for myself it was obvious that Wood was the only viable option due to its impeccable repuatation in sports, performing arts, and academics. I have made friends I know will last a life time as the teachers and courses have taught me the value of hard work, allowing me to expand my knowledge and grow as an individual. Faithfulness and kindness are promoted thoroughly in all theology classes, school functions, and the kairos retreats. Faithfulness merits the crown.

Niche User: I do not have a child at Woodberry, but our school’s squash team has played theirs on several occasions. Each time, whether home or visiting, I am incredibly impressed with how gracious, well-mannnered, and polite their players are. Winning or losing, they have a kind word for their teammates and opponents, and even parents. They carry themselves maturely and respectfully. I can’t speak for the academics, but whatever they are doing to build these boys’ character, well done!

Another big factor at our school is getting involved. Our school offers over 120 different courses in all academic subjects combined. We also have almost 100 different clubs so there is something for everyone at LaSalle. Most kids would say that they hate going to school every day, but here at LaSalle, that is completely different. Each one of us is excited and ready to learn every day and discover new opportunities that we never imagined was possible.

Only 2 levels, with 2 courtyards, and parking lot is only large enough for staff, and three quarters of the seniors...

Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely recommend!

Alum: Villa Maria Academy provided me with some of the best memories within my life. Between the pep rallies, the sports, and just the friendships made in my classes made for an amazing high school experience. the teachers did everything they could to prepare us for college and our future. One thing that was frustrating throughout my four years was the rules and the way punishments were given. For example, if two students broke the same rule, they would often receive completely different punishments which caused conflict. besides that I would definitely recommend Villa to any 8th grader considering schools.

I feel very fortunate to go to a public school as renown as Spring-Ford. However, Spring-Ford can be cliquey and he type of kids who go there are a bit privileged. Either way, there is a group of friends for everyone and opportunities for everyone. Go Rams!

LMHS offers many classes, sports, after school activities and clubs. Also, LMHS has an amazing "lunch and learn" program where you may go anywhere on campus during lunch and may meet with teachers for at least half of lunch. LMHS has a great community filled with caring and respecting students and makes every student feel at home.

Senior: If you are looking for a school with an outstanding athletic and academic department, then CVHS is the right place! The school offers students a wide variety of academic programs that few other schools have, and the staff ensures, to the best of their ability, that the students get the most out of their education. Though the grading system may be a let down for many of the students, it makes them work and think harder, and truly prepares them for college. The athletic department at Cumberland Valley is, as I stated earlier, outstanding, as is their music department. The school offers dozens of after school clubs that students love and enjoy and can use as a safe space to be free and let loose. One of the very few things the school lacks however, is diversity among both students and staff. But overall, the school is amazing and I've had a lot of fun there.

Junior: Unionville needs more student spirit. They force the students into activities such as the lip dub and additional spirit rallies, but they lower our excitement. Also, there is poor diversity and food. All the food is overpriced. But, the academics at Unionville are unrivaled, and there is a variety of Honors and AP classes to take. The library/librarians are also very helpful and full of resources. However, there is a lack of funding towards music/theater/musical, partially because of the emphasis on sports at Unionville. Administration is okay, as there are some that are good, and some that are bad. The teachers at Unionville overall are great, especially the science teachers. Unionville is unparalleled in academics, but needs more diversity and culture.

There are lot of fun traitions like LM week, but the school needs to work on inclusivity and having a more welcoming atmosphere for newcomers. I have some friends that are new that are finding it hard to adjust because people are not that willing to be friendly.

While attending MHS , you are surrounded by positive influences and support no matter what. The teachers are there to guide you through your school work, security is there to ensure your safety, and any other adult is willing and able to give each and every student help. There is so many different opportunities on this campus it's hard to choose from. The variety of clubs, groups, sports and activities you can join is outstanding. I can not name one school in my district that is so willing and giving as my school. It offers education and shelter for children from pre-k to 12th grade. It doesn't get any better than that!

Senior: I loved the available academics, the teachers, the opportunities, and the culture! Sports are a big thing here, especially football. It was awesome being able to go with all of my classmates to watch the games! There are also many options for your school day, especially when you are a senior. You can take away lunches (with parent permission) so that you can squeeze in that one extra class you've been dying to take, or in your senior year you can opt to come in a period late, or leave a period early, to catch some extra sleep or to start working earlier in the day, earning some extra cash. The administration is always approachable and ready to help the students with course selection and college application processes, and the multitude of honors and AP level courses allows students to perform at their full academic extent. There are also so many clubs and extracurricular activities that anyone can find something to be active in.

Our sport teams are some off the greatest teams in the state of Pennsylvania, we as a school support our athletes a cheer them on to victory. My school has some of the finest facilities in the state. People,companies and other school come to use our facilities. Our school is a very safe schools I have never felt afraid or worried to go to school our administration well deal with any issue you have, from a dispute between two students to you struggling in a class. They only wanna see success from each and everyone of there students and I’m proud to call myself a Coatesville red raider.

Each student is challenged according to their needs and provided many opportunities to help them reach their goals. Understandably, I’m sure there are some areas that need additional support, however, I have always found the community to be very generous when a need is discovered.

Although the school and community has its share of problems like any other, we love Wyomissing and know we are fortunate to have found such a great community in which to live!

Our three children who attended O'Hara were very happy with their education and experience at O'Hara. They not only had excellent faculty who made them better students, but the faculty also prepared them for college and supported them through their high school years. our children got into every college they applied to and have had great success in college because of the foundation built at O'Hara. Also my children were involved in the sports programs, theater program, community service program, robotics and Thon. O'Hara truly makes each child's high school experience enriching academically, spiritually, and socially.

The campus is gorgeous, and classroom, arts, and sports facilities are amazing. College counseling and support has been fantastic, and SSA has a record of placing students at top-tier universities. Both five and seven day boarding are available.

Alum: Springfield High School gave me the flexibility to explore my interests and to see what I wanted to major in during college. By encouraging students to take classes in a wide variety of areas and including higher-level classes like APs, my education was well rounded. In addition, students were encouraged to get involved in the clubs and organizations offered. While this may have lead to many of us being over-involved, I wouldn't have changed a thing. Springfield gave me the opportunity to get in touch with different people through those clubs and classes. Springfield prepared me to succeed in college.

Alum: Holy Ghost Prep is premier. My experience goes above and beyond just the education that I received. The school has fantastic extracurricular activities for students including both athletic and non-athletic opportunities robotics and forensics. I still remain in contact with several of mine. The school has active parents groups that coordinate many events. The school offers generous scholarships. Having come from the city that was extremely helpful. Ghost is a brotherhood. I truly believe the education I received their helped me to grow as a man. Likewise, HGP has an active alumni association that puts on events throughout the year including a networking reception. I know early in my career this was helpful to be able to network with my former classmates and older alumni who helped mentor me to get where I am today. Holy Ghost is an excellent choice to not only prepare you for the next level in education but also in life. I hope to one day send any sons that I have to the school.

Alum: There were nice teachers at this school with the exception of a few. Some worked with you to get the grade you deserved. The school was big but not big enough. Halls were crowded after the bell rang. Some teachers were too strict on late policies. It takes long to get from one class to another. The food and vending machines were mediocre, some of the best were the salads and specialties. School store was cool but I realized that late. Parking lot is a problem. Needs more entrances and exits. Sometimes takes 20 min to leave. School was filled with amenities and technology. Had 2 large pools and many sports fields. Prepared me well for college opposed to other local schools. Weight room seemed outdated 3 years ago when I was there. Teachers were very involved in things, that was a plus! I wish some of the administrators would do more to help students in financial need.

Alum: Downingtown West High School is a very wonderful school. It gives students so many opportunities. Aside from the core classes, students can take electives such as cooking, sewing, dance, and even learning to manage money! This school teaches languages such as French, German, and Spanish, but also includes Latin and Japanese! The academic emotional support is also admirable, with teachers and counselors who are willing to help you excel in your high school years. There is a room that gives you important resources you may need outside of school, such as internship and job applications. This school also supports harmony and friendship; I once heard that it is famous for being "clique-free". We work to bring others up and stop problems before they start. Going to this school was a fulfilling experience for me.

Senior: I really enjoyed my time at Scranton Prep. I feel very prepared for college, which is the school's main goal. It is really easy to make friends here whether through sports or just through classes. Prep's peers have a great close-knit relationship in which everyone wants to see each other succeed. Scranton Prep really gives you the ability to grow as a student and as a person. Prep has a plethora of teachers which a majority are excellent and they definitely can get challenging. I believe it is the best overall school in the area by far.

Niche User: Attending Villa Maria was one of the best decisions I could have made, and I wish I could go back. I came into college feeling extremely prepared, and I very quickly realized just how great of a job Villa did in prepping me for college. I was able to succeed in my classes from the start, whereas many of my peers who did not have as strong of foundation struggled. Villa made me into the person I am today. The school taught me to never second guess myself. The school helps form independent and strong women by empowering them to engage in class discussions, teaching them how to succeed in college and beyond, and giving them many opportunities to lead. The sense of community and family at Villa is something I have never experienced before. Each faculty member, staff member, and student at the school cares so deeply for one another. All want to see everyone at the school succeed and work to make that happen. The school pride seen at Pep Rallies, games, plays, performances, etc. is unreal and extremely touching. The traditions at the school not only link the students and alum, but they are also extremely fun! The school races robot pigs, classes sing songs to one another, the girls dress up for Halloween, and the Pep Rallies are always an event! There are more sentimental traditions as well, such as Daisy Chain when the Juniors officially become seniors, Carol and Ring when the girls are given their class rings, and Big/Little events in which the girls are assigned a "Big Sister" upperclassmen! I am so proud to be a Villa Marian for copious reasons. If I could, I would do it all over again!
