Senior: Catholic High is a great school, in my experience I played lacrosse and participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club. As a lacrosse player we have gone to state twice and we won state last year. Senior: My experience at Zachary High School has been phonomenal. I feel preapared for college. I am confident that I have been exposed to what I need for college. Alum: I love that Scotlandville has a magnet program that is just right, not too tough, not too easy. The teachers worked extremely well with the students. They made sure we prevailed. Administration was decent & made sure the school was well kept. We have the best football team, best basketball players, best high school band, volleyball players are amazing.. Every sport we had to offer was amazing. Honestly I couldn’t have seen myself spending four years in high school anywhere else. Senior: My experience as a Madison prep charger will forever be a life changing experience that I would never forget. Down to the teachers, the students, and other staff members who helped me achieve my success today. The campus is very diverse, and nobody is looked at differently or judged by their looks, but are judged by the content of their character.Growing up continuing through my school career I struggled with testing anxiety, and sometimes social anxiety. My mountain I'm still trying to overcome is the infamous Act test. I've studied for this test day and night until I couldn't study any more. Senior: They are really helpful when it comes to schooling. However, some of the teachers are not the best, they are okay but not too good. Most of the teachers are really amazing and really helpful with everything for Highschool students! They really do prepare us students for the real world! Whether that be with financial stuff or whatever other career we are looking at going into! They take a lot of time and effort to help us do our best and do what we like and to the best of our abilities. I would rate this one of the top schools in this area as well. As a senior in Highschool this year I feel like I have been helped out a lot and am able to succeed further in life. I do feel like I could still use some stuff but that is what the rest of the year is for! Also,the amount of programs for good grades are amazing! Alum: Everyone there is helpful! No day at Plaquemine High would you ever feel alone. All administration and staff are helpful. The have great clubs, sports, and academic programs. The even have after school tutoring and ACT prep for the students who are in need of extra help. At one point the school had fell a little off track on the learning and college readiness side, but once they improved their faculty staff and administration that immediately change and improved. Over all my 6 years of experience at Plaquemine High School was great, enjoyable, crazy at times but most of all helpful and fun. If I can go back and do it all over again I would. Parent: My daughter had been attending this school since she was 2 years old. I've seen how far she had grown in knowledge and structure thanks to the teaching staff. The teachers are very sweet and patient when helping out with different subjects. Not to mention, the website is very resourceful given that it provides information for each grade level segment. Each time I had a question regarding extracurricular activities, events and enrollment, I got a quick response in the clear way possible. Alum: I am an alum of the class of 2021. I attended Episcopal for 7 years. I switched from Episcopal from a highly rated public school. The facilities at Episcopal are unmatched by other high schools both academic and athletic. While the facilities are unbelievable, Episcopal is made special by the of the staff of the students. Everything I experienced at Episcopal was amazing with the exception of the administration. The administration does not think through a lot of decisions and is not respected by the students and a lot of parents because of the incompetence. Other than the current administration tearing down what previous administrations have built alongside a great community of students and alumni, the school is unmatched by any high school in the area and a lot of universities.... Parent: CP has been the best decision for our family. Our son has been there since pre-k 3 and moving into 6th grade next year. We could not have asked for a better educational experience for him. His teachers have genuinely loved him, while also teaching valuable life skills to go along with his great faith-based education. The school offers so much more than an education that we as parents simply did not have growing up. We have been a part of the CP family since the great floods of 2016 and know the struggles all of us faced during those times. It is amazing to see God’s work bringing this school from a scattered campus occupying 3 different churches to a brand new school campus with state of the art technology. Alum: For funding, there are some lacking aspects, but in passion my teachers outstripped the fancier schools by miles. If you take the initiative, opportunities for college credit, dual enrollment, and all kinds of honors opportunities were available. We had a robust k4 program, with many talents in design, livestock management and art regularly fostered with care. Senior: I transferred to St. Micheal High School in 2020. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. During my time at St. Michael, I played many sports and participated in clubs and the arts. The academics here are exceptional. Before transferring, I never knew what education I was missing out on. St. Micheal has one of the best academic programs and excellent teachers support who support it. During my time at St. Michael, I made many lifelong friends and memories. One thing that I would like to see changed is the arts programs. The arts programs have great potential but need more support from the school and money.
