- Constantine Public School District, MI
- Rating 3.7 out of 5 60 reviews
Senior: My experience at Constantine High School started in 2014 and has been an amazing time since then. As a freshmen, all the movies make you think the "big upperclassmen" will throw you in lockers or be mean to you. This was not the case for me, as I became friends with a lot of the upperclassmen and still remain good friends to this day. Everyone is so involved, inviting and compassionate from the students to the teachers to the administrating staff. I could not have asked for a better community to have spent the last four years in. If I could change anything about Constantine High School is the building itself, making it bigger so the ever growing population fits comfortably.

Alum: Overall, I had a good high school experience. TRHS offered the basic array of A.P. courses, but wasn't a particularly vast selection. The teachers scared for their students and took great effort in teaching the students the curriculum they'd been assigned. However, I do not feel as if the courses fully prepared students for advanced, and even basic, college courses. For one, English classes seemed geared more towards performance on standardized testing than more lasting material. My experiences in English/writing courses in college made me realize how much I had not learned. The same applies for the science courses; I was left with almost exclusively new material, and even the subjects I knew were explored in far more depth than I had experienced. Overall, I feel as if more preparation for college courses would have been helpful.

Alum: The high school really isn't too terrible. Most of the teachers are extremely kind and knowledgeable, and the guidance office is terrific helping seniors in need of college help or scholarships. SHS offers a ton of community service opportunities, clubs, sports, and events.

White Pigeon Junior/Senior High School
#6 Best High Schools for Athletes in St. Joseph County
- White Pigeon Community Schools, MI
- PK, 6-12
- Rating 3.44 out of 5 45 reviews
Senior: White Pigeon Jr/Sr Community Schools is an amazing school. The teachers do their absolute best to help out the students who desperately need it. They provide so many different options on what you could do to get ready for college. The parents get very involved with their students everyday lives in mainly academics, sports, and other after school activities. Although White Pigeon is a very good school they should consider a couple new changes. The food served is wicked expensive for so little and unfavorable. The facilities are pretty good, clean bathrooms and air, but the school is always so hot but they do have air conditioned rooms like all three computer labs, the cafeteria, the office, library, and the weight room. It's a clean school surrounded by good people who will always be there for you no matter what happens.

Colon High School
#7 Best High Schools for Athletes in St. Joseph County
- Colon Community School District, MI
- Rating 3.31 out of 5 32 reviews
Senior: Growing up attending Colon High School, I have found that getting extra help from teachers and having everyone at the school be your friend was much easier than attending a Class A school. There is about 40 kids in each class, and everyone knows each other and gets along. More than half of the school contributes to sports, helping our school win state in 8-man football in 2019, and also achieving many district titles in all sports (girls and boys). We all push each other to be the best, which contributes to our overall achievement in the end.

Parent: I love that my kids are being taught a Biblical Worldview. The teachers go above and beyond in the classroom to reach each student. My kids are able to choose from a variety of classes: traditional classrooms, online and dual enrollment options are all available. Athletics is another big reason why we love HCS! The kids learn many important life lessons from being involved on the many teams offered. I love that HCS supports the life lessons that we are trying to teach and home. The weekly chapel, daily Bible classes and teachers who care encourage my kids to continue seeking the truths found in the Bible.

Niche User: I have learned a lot from attending this school; not just things like math and science, but how to have strong lasting friendships. The nice thing about this school since it is a small school you pretty much know everyone. You know everyone that attends. You get to know them on a deeper level and there are people that you grow really close to.
