#19 Best High Schools for Athletes in Broward County
Senior: I moved to Cooper City High about 2 years ago and that was when I was a junior. I moved from Everglades High School in Florida. Everglades was a very diverse school and I got along with everyone there so quickly. So, when I had to move, I was afraid of making new friends all over again and I struggled with it a lot at first. In everglades, it was easy to talk to someone but in Cooper, I felt more constricted because of how the kids were. Some of the kids just didn't want to talk or some were already in a group or some just chose to ignore. I was sad because I didn't make any friends but eventually made some. The teachers, faculty members, clubs, and administration was so helpful. Mainly, my counselors, they were the biggest help I could ever receive! It was a wonderful experience with Cooper. As a senior, who didn't get to enjoy the privileges of being Cooper senior, I'm happy that I went to that school or else I wouldn't have met my best friends or had such a great experience.
