Buckingham Elementary School
#35 Best Public Elementary Schools in Pennsylvania
- Central Bucks School District, PA
Parent: As public schools go this one is a gem. Ethos of the school is driven by strong, caring administration. Focus is on character building as well as academics. Great community feel with high parent involvement. Teachers are generally passionate about teaching and understanding each child's needs. Mandatory test preparation is incorporated into the curriculum, but not at the expense of "real learning". Not enough recess time, but this is driven by outside regulations. There is is an overarching sense of joy & purpose about the place that makes Buckingham Elementary a school where teachers and students want to be.

Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Elementary
- Private School
- Spring House, PA
Parent: I believe Gwynedd Mercy Academy Elementary school is the best decision you can make. Our daughter has attended GMA for 9 years (since kindergarten), and she has become a confident, hard-working student who is very prepared to begin her journey as a high school student next year. The lower school offers a nurturing environment with a strong sense of community that provides a strong foundation for the students to achieve personal, social, and academic success. The strongest part of the school is definitely the middle school, which has an amazing group of teachers who create the perfect balance of challenging the students, and engaging in interactive teaching methods to bring out the best in each student. The overwhelming feedback from both high schools and parents of students who've graduated from GMA is that GMA students are consistently succeeding at the high school level due to the strong foundation they've received at GMA.
