#21 Best Private K-12 Schools in Pennsylvania
- Private School
- Gibsonia, PA
- PK, K-12
Alum: After 13 years at Aquinas Academy, I feel prepared for a successful future both in college and beyond. The academics are rigorous, but they are truly beneficial and students are guided by the amazing staff. Teachers will set aside time to help students who are struggling or who would like to dig deeper. In the last few years, I have been able to experience the growth of the school in major ways. Between greater facilities, course options, athletic programs, and extracurricular activities, Aquinas continues to reach out and expand the opportunities it provides. But, the most important part of Aquinas' foundation is a life centered in Christ. Aquinas seeks to put Christ at the center of all things, whether it be through prayer before classes or sports games, religion classes, and especially in the opportunity it provides for students, teachers, and parents to attend daily mass. With Aquinas' academic and religious foundation, I feel prepared for my future!

Community Day School
- Private School
- Pittsburgh, PA
- PK, K-8
Parent: I have 2 children at Community Day School. I've been a parent there for 4 years. Our experience has been stellar. My children are academically challenged in a nurturing setting. My daughter once articulated to me that one reason she enjoys school is because she gets to use her imagination there. I was so thrilled to hear that she can tap into her imagination in a rigorous academic setting! My son struggles more socially and emotionally. CDS has been a wonderful partner to us with this. CDS's smaller class sizes, caring teachers, engaged administration, and the growth mindset philosophy have led our son to many successes. My husband and I feel a huge amount of gratitude to CDS for all this and more that it offers our children. We also feel a great deal of trust in the CDS administration based on what we've seen in its ability to curate curriculum, experiences, and community. At CDS, we feel we have a strong partner in raising our children to become adults we are proud of.

Poff Elementary School
#87 Best Public Elementary Schools in Pennsylvania
- Hampton Township School District, PA
Niche User: We moved in 2014, specifically to Hampton, to make sure our children would have the opportunity to attend HTSD. Poff Elementary has been an amazing experience for our son with a perfectly balanced environment of progressive, research-based, data-driven instruction/curriculum, coupled with a warm, family focused, small community school feel. Our choice to move to Hampton has completely validated, so far, and we are confident in, not just our son's, but all of our children's ability to thrive and succeed at Poff Elementary, as well as the entire HTSD.

Richland Elementary School
#183 Best Public Elementary Schools in Pennsylvania
- Pine-Richland School District, PA
Parent: Richland Elementary used to be the high school so they have many resources and facilities that most elementary schools do not. The teachers and the administration are top notch. They truly care about the kids and are always going the extra mile. The school creates a nurturing and caring, loving environment. My daughter moved here in second grade and found her tribe the first week of school. This type environment is something that is a direct result of teachers modeling - kindness, caring, compassion, etc. She absolutely loved her teachers. They were also great at differentiating the work with different vocabulary words and different levels of math to challenge her. A child can only learn once their basic needs are met - safety and belonging. My daughter thrived at this school.

Curtisville Primary Center
- Deer Lakes School District, PA
Parent: Moved into the district a few years ago, from a highly ranked school. We could not be happier here and have noticed more interaction between teachers and families in this district than our previous one. Every teacher my child has had responds quickly to emails, is friendly, and has surprised us by going above and beyond to help or answer questions, often emailing or returning calls in the evenings or on weekends. The principal seems to know a lot of the children by name and attends all of the evening activities put on by the teachers and parent organization.
It’s a small district, but that personal touch makes all the difference! Very impressed!
