Parent: The school offers free after school programs that aids students with their homework and encourages students to engage in physical activity and social interaction. Also, they offer safety and leverage to busy families who work during the day and have no one to look after their children.
The teachers are very accomodating during parent- teacher conferences and greatly ensure that parents understand their children's learning styles, strengths and weaknesses that they have to work on.
The campus is efficiently clean and conducive for learning. The staff make sure that children are able to appreciate the place where they learn.
With regards to their educational system, they effectively challenge students to do more in school. The homeworks and class activities create curiosity out of students which make them become creative learners. The school also encourages teachers to provide charts to help students understand each course's content.

P.S. 3 - Raul Julia Micro Society
- New York City Geographic District No. 10, NY
- PK, K-8
Parent: Excellent school, I don't really understand why its rating is C. The teachers and the administration are amazing. They provide support for the students and genuinely want the best for them. As a parent I've never witnessed any school fights or bullying and the safety of the school is impeccable . The only negative thing is could possibly say is that P.S. 3 doesn't have any extra curricular activities (sports, music)

Veritas Collegiate Academy
- Private School
- Chesapeake, VA
Parent: My young kids love this school. They have made really sweet friends and they are learning a ton! We really like the classical approach because it emphasizes mastering traditional knowledge such as history, geography, scripture, grammar, phonics, art, science, math, and music. The memory period is very effective for teaching memorized material through song, and there are many fun special holidays, events, and field trips, as well as swim team/swim lessons and school play!
The middle and high school are also amazing! The humanities/omnibus courses are really unique in combining classic literature with history, religion, politics, and philosophy--so it's all combined in a way that connects and make sense. Students read the primary texts from that time period rather than just reading a vague summary in a typical textbook. A great preparation for college and a great way to gain wisdom for life!
