Senior: I am currently a Senior at Rockland BOCES. BOCES was an incredible experience for me. I went in to the school as a Junior and didn't really know what to make of it. I currently take the Electrical II Program and it has helped me greatly. Knowing a trade is so interesting and can certainly help me down the road. My teachers are excellent and totally relatable. They always know what they are doing and always help me by providing their useful knowledge. The administration is fantastic. The Principle and Assistant Principle are both very kind and extremely involved with everything that goes on. The school food is great because it's made by the culinary class! BOCES has exposed me to a lot of interesting people and has helped me explore new career paths. I am so glad I signed up for it and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore different career paths.

Blue Rock School
- Private School
- West Nyack, NY
Parent: We have a 2nd grader and a kindergartner in Blue Rock School and have been part of the school community for 3 years now. We love Blue Rock School for several reasons: super high quality teachers; small class sizes; educational programs that are tailored to individual students needs; communitarian values; diversity of staff and students; emphasis on ecology and indigenous cultures; non-emphasis on testing and standardization; plus a great arts and music classes including an outstanding drama program. I continue to be impressed with the teacher’s knowledge of development stages and their educational techniques. The small class sizes and dedicated teachers create a strong bond between teachers and students and allows for the teachers to focus on each students individual needs. The community minded values of the school are contagious for both the students and the parents. My daughter has developed a real love of both reading and math and continues to excel at a very high level.
