KIPP AMP Charter School
- Public School
- Brooklyn, NY
Parent: This is a good school for the location. They have very strict rules for the kids witch is great. The hours are pretty long my daughter in in school from 7:00 A.M. until 6:30 P.M. She is usually exhausted when she gets home but then needs to complete homework. The only thing I do not like is that it doesn't have much diversity. They have a great after school program where kids get to dance, or play an instrument even cook. My child loves this school its her second year here.

Hempstead Elementary School
- East Ramapo Central School District, NY
Niche User: Hempstead was a really nice school while I was there. All the teachers were so positive, and the moment you stepped into the school it was so bright and happy. the principal is amazing, and she understands her students well, and the staff doesn't completely judge students based on their academic ability. They allow all students to participate is fun activities, and their is a lot of positive freedom. The preparation for the oncoming grade is there, and the students enjoy it there, I currently go to Kakiat Middle School, and when I was in Kakiat's elementary division, the kids in general were "bullies" and the teachers had such an attitude and the aesthetic was a drag, amazing you feel tired and bored. Hempstead was a much better school than Kakiat by far.
