Mamaroneck Avenue School

- White Plains City School District, NY
Parent: Both of my daughters attend MAS and while they are different learners with different interests, they are both thriving -academically, socially and emotionally. The school culture is warm and supportive. The administration set an amazing example for the building (students, staff and parents). It feels like a family. They foster growth of the whole child and it shows.

York Prep School
- Private School
- New York, NY
Parent: York Prep has been an amazing school for our daughter. While quite smart, our daughter has struggled with some academics and was bullied. She started 6th grade at York and this year has been amazing for her. She has flourish academically with the support of all the teachers, the small classes and the Jump Start Program The small class sizes and staff to student ratio means that kids don’t fall through the cracks. York has a great understanding of learning differences including issues with reading, writing, processing speed, working memory, and ADHD.
She was able to make an amazing group of friends, participated in the school play and several other afterschool programs. Students are also supported emotionally. There is no tolerance for bullying. There is a mentoring class and the school counselors are available to meet at lunch and afterschool and work closely with teachers to address any issues that arise in the classroom.

German International School New York
- Private School
- White Plains, NY
- PK, K-12
Parent: Our two daughters are in their 8th year at GISNY. We are German/ Italian at home and have added perfect English and fluent French by attending GISNY. We highly recommend the school due to its focus on academics based on the highly-regarded German International curriculum which combines depth in learning with self-reflection and independent thinking. Our children will earn a German International degree which opens the door to the best colleges. The school has a wonderful atmosphere and children and parents are part of a family from PreK to 12th grade. Lots of activities from sports, music, drama, etc are often offered for free which is exceptional for a private school at this tuition level. You also need to see the large and green campus full of light to fully appreciate the setting!
