Senior: I really enjoyed the experiences and memories I made in High School. They lead me to who I am today. Not only did I receive an amazing education, but I also bonded with many of other students and teachers. I learned many valuable and important lessons in education. I learned to work harder to further my education, and to also work harder for my future. I had one teacher who was really hard on the edges. He would push us further and further to our limits each day, but I have learned a great deal because of him. I also learned that in order to be a better you, and to learn more, you must work together with others. He also taught us that you must work hard to achieve your goals in high school. High school is the main stop where you are molded and shaped in before you enter the reality of the real world. He will always be my role model. Overall, I had a miraculous life at South Central Calhoun. I believe I have been shaped into a new and better version of myself.

Senior: Roanoke Catholic is a school that teaches students belong the classroom and prepares them for either college. In the past years, 100 percent of Catholic seniors have attended college and this year the seniors have received over 2.5 million in scholarships. I started Roanoke Catholic two years ago and it was a big change coming from public school. In public schools you could slide by without doing your homework, but at Roanoke Catholic all work is required and graded as a test grade. Roanoke Catholic does not let you fall through the cracks. I also must say the food is outstanding!!
One thing I really did not like were the uniforms. In public school you basically wore what you want, but not in private school. My first year the gentlemen had to wear a shirt and tie during the winter and in the summer a polo shirt with the school’s logo and khaki pants or shorts. This year they changed the dress code to where gentlemen could wear the polo shirt and khaki pants all year around.

Parent: I have an autistic child, and besides one bad teacher, all his teachers worked very hard to help him. His 1st grade teacher introduced me to 504 plans, and his 3rd grade teacher went above and beyond helping my son. My next child has adhd, and all her teacher's have been very helpful. All the teacher's did well to keep in touch, even the counselor and secretary.
