High School Senior: CAC is a religious private school. Because it is a religious school, chapel services are conducted every Friday for the students and for the school faculty in the gymnasium.
My favorite experiences at this school have been the different parties made traditional by both the CAC staff and by the students, homecoming, and field trips.
Every year, we have parties for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. All of the students bring in food, movies, and games to share for the Thanksgiving parties. Usually, the teachers allow us to just have fun all day instead of work. For Christmas, we bring food, movies, candy, and gifts. We distribute the gifts and candy to each of our classmates. The food is eaten while we watch movies. Sometimes we bring extra snacks or we eat our candy if we get hungry after eating. For Valentine's, we just dress up nicely and exchange candies.
The teachers let middle school and high school students vote for each year's homecoming king, queen, prince, and princess. On the day of homecoming, all of the high school students meet in the school gymnasium to see who will be crowned. They're all dressed up, of course. Once the king, queen, prince, and princess is crowned, they pile into a limousine and eat at a fancy restaurant.
Field trips at CAC range from Christian missions to museum visits. They may be small and simple, but they always prove to be memorable.... and a free ticket out of school. Who wouldn't want that?
I would definitely redo my high school years at CAC. Although the school is small, and sometimes annoying, I still love it because it taught me to be studious, to prioritize, and to appreciate the small things in life.
