Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart
- Private School
- Bellevue, WA
Senior: Forest Ridge is a great school to attend, the academics are very challenging and the teachers know how to push students to create the best work possible. Since the academics are quite rigorous, there is a slightly stressed and competitive environment at the school. However, this does not mean that the student community is not strong. From my personal experience, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, especially new student entering the high school. I would recommend this school to prepare for college readiness as some of the courses mimic college level work. Athletics is also another fun part of the Forest Ridge experience, there is a no-cut policy that ensure that all students can participate in any sports; this is a great place to meet new people in other grades and where I made some of my best friendships!

Niche User: This school was unique because of the inclusive community. There was a very strong parent community to help out students in the class and during field trips. There was also a large Deaf and Hard of Hearing community which I thought was helpful for them, but also for educating students who may not know of their struggles. No matter what background or age, there was a place for each student and I appreciated that.

Northshore Home School Networks
306 Best Public Elementary Schools in Washington
- Northshore School District, WA
Senior: Northshore Networks is where I was allowed to thrive. You have so much one on one time with your teachers, small classes that have a strong sense of community, and plenty of opportunities for students to grow and learn however best suits them. This school is all about accommodation, and will help most any student learn, no matter their circumstances. Learning disabilities, chronic illness, social issues, all are accepted and worked with to make sure you have the opportunity to learn and grow. Coming here for my high school years was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Roanoke Catholic School
- Private School
- Roanoke, VA
- PK, K-12
Senior: Roanoke Catholic is a school that teaches students belong the classroom and prepares them for either college. In the past years, 100 percent of Catholic seniors have attended college and this year the seniors have received over 2.5 million in scholarships. I started Roanoke Catholic two years ago and it was a big change coming from public school. In public schools you could slide by without doing your homework, but at Roanoke Catholic all work is required and graded as a test grade. Roanoke Catholic does not let you fall through the cracks. I also must say the food is outstanding!!
One thing I really did not like were the uniforms. In public school you basically wore what you want, but not in private school. My first year the gentlemen had to wear a shirt and tie during the winter and in the summer a polo shirt with the school’s logo and khaki pants or shorts. This year they changed the dress code to where gentlemen could wear the polo shirt and khaki pants all year around.
