Brookview Elementary School
21 Best Public Elementary Schools in Iowa
- Waukee Community School District, IA
Parent: Right now I have a 5th grader there and a new Kindergartner. Our experience has been overall good. My son has had a couple teachers that I question their abilities to teach well, but has had some excellent teachers that make up for it.
The school itself is small for as many students that it has, but I don't think that detracts from the education the students receive. The area around the school is family friendly with only a few concerns, a hotel just down the way from the trails behind the school and the busy roads not too far away.
Overall the choice we made to move to this area 10 years ago was a good one. My son loves his school and some of the friends he has made and we are hoping our other kids enjoy their future experiences as well.

Roanoke Catholic School
- Private School
- Roanoke, VA
- PK, K-12
Senior: Roanoke Catholic is a school that teaches students belong the classroom and prepares them for either college. In the past years, 100 percent of Catholic seniors have attended college and this year the seniors have received over 2.5 million in scholarships. I started Roanoke Catholic two years ago and it was a big change coming from public school. In public schools you could slide by without doing your homework, but at Roanoke Catholic all work is required and graded as a test grade. Roanoke Catholic does not let you fall through the cracks. I also must say the food is outstanding!!
One thing I really did not like were the uniforms. In public school you basically wore what you want, but not in private school. My first year the gentlemen had to wear a shirt and tie during the winter and in the summer a polo shirt with the school’s logo and khaki pants or shorts. This year they changed the dress code to where gentlemen could wear the polo shirt and khaki pants all year around.

Jordan Creek Elementary School

Parent: My husband & I specifically bought our home in this district for our son to attend Jordan Creek Elementary in Kindergarten. He is now in the 4th grade, & I cannot express how IMPRESSED we are with Jordan Creek from the Exceptional Teachers, One on One Learning, Academics and Student Morale the school exemplifies in!
Each year, it is hard to think that the next years teacher can be as wonderful as the current year & then I realize EVERY year it has continued and how invested each teacher is & how they truly care about their students.
The Best decision we have ever made is allowing our son to have the best education & Guidance from some of the best Teachers, Staff and Facility that only Jordan Creek can offer.
