Parent: Yikes - some of the reviews on here are pretty intense. I'm not involved in the board or the politics with the teachers and principals or anything else like that. I can only speak from my experiences there with our oldest.
This has been an absolutely incredible experience for us. My child has attended since Kindergarten and loves SCPA. Every teacher has been kind, attentive and caring - while also encouraging growth in our child intellectually and emotionally.
It's a tough school - they do push the kids, and they do have homework. I personally think that's a good thing, but that may not be for everyone.
We've also interacted with MANY of the upperclassmen and they've all been some of the sweetest people we've met in the community. They are kind, respectful adults, and even the ones that you think might be labeled as "misfits" say that they love their school and feel like they fit right in.

Parent: Minnehaha Academy is a fantastic school on all levels! Teaching to the whole child (academics, art, athletics, spiritual, etc.) is of utmost important to the amazing faculty and staff at this PreK-12 school. Students are supported to grow and mature to their full potential while recognizing their gifts and talents that they can use in service to others. As parents of two current students and as educators ourselves, quality and rigor of a full spectrum education is of utmost importance to us. We would not hesitate to recommend others to attend Minnehaha Academy and be part of the beautiful community and family feel this school provides.
