Alum: North Star Charter School is a fantastic K-12 school which offers the IB program to students in the Eagle area. While the school is still relatively young, the administration and teachers work hard to improve the school every year. Most of the teachers care deeply about the success of their students and keep in touch with them after graduation. North Star High School is a very challenging school, especially once students begin the IB program their junior year. Be prepared for heavy homework loads and confusing assignments as IB caters to the abstract mindset. Overall I would say North Star is a good school for students who want a small school experience and want something other than AP.

Senior: Totally prepares you for college courses and college life! The teachers really work with you and care about you. The campus is 1200 acres, truly amazing. It's an all boys school grades 9-12 with about 100 boys per grade. It's boarding students only (no day) so your friends are with you all the time.

Niche User: While the school has some things that could be adjusted, the people and the teachers there care so much and work hard to supply the best education possible with the resources they have. I spent most of my childhood here, and continued to go out of my way to volunteer at this school until leaving the state to attend college. It is very socioeconomically diverse, and that has made a real difference in how I approach the world and interact with others. Overall, it was a great place to grow up.
