- Private School
- Pomfret, CT
Alum: The experience I had at Pomfret is unforgettable.Of course, that really doesn't mean that I liked everything about the school. The way the administration handled some situations, the financial aid system that Pomfret has, the inevitable lack of diversity that it offers are the few negative things I could say about Pomfret. However, the passion that teachers have for the students, its effort for innovative education, the caring behaviors that the faculty as a whole have really outweigh all the negative aspects of Pomfret.
In complete honest, as long as you are doing what you are supposed to do at Pomfret, you can't not like the school. In fact, they go out of their ways to help those kids who are not on the right path.
If I were given an opportunity to repeat my high school year at Pomfret, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to the community that welcomed me from the day I moved in.

Royle Elementary School
44 Best Public Elementary Schools in Connecticut
- Darien School District, CT
- PK, K-5
Parent: As a new parent to this school, the staff, PTO, and families were all so welcoming and warm. Having gone to a private school myself, I can say that Royle feels like a private school with its small size and nurturing environment. The new principal (2016-17) is great and I have high hopes for his tenure. The English and writing curriculum are strong. Music, language, and arts are all built into the curriculum, and each child has access to Chrome Books and are taught how to use them properly. Overall we are happy with our choice to be in the Royle School.

Thankful my children are aware and thoughtful to differences in others. Diversity is a wonderful thing... the "real" world... meeting and understanding children from ALL walks of life.
