Parent: We are American parents who have chosen BISB for our daughter. I say this because it is a very different system. The Brits are serious about education and the curriculum is rigorous and regimented. Teachers do an excellent job preparing students for the level of rigor that is expected of them so they can succeed. Classes are small so students are very engaged creating an environment that is stimulating and fun at the same time. Our daughter started BISB in sixth grade and is now in ninth grade and looks forward to going to school every day. Overall, the administration and teachers have been very attentive and engaged. Senior: My experience with Brimmer and May is that it is overall a very supportive and progressive community that likes to be challenged academically and socially. The faculty and the teachers are always there to help out after class and even before school to prep for quizzes or tests. Additionally, many teachers are very lenient with due dates as long as you meet with them prior or send them an email in order to figure out a new due date. Additionally, the lunch faculty are very friendly and are always appreciated. Along with it being a diverse community, Brimmer and May is very supportive in everyone's success. Alum: I spent 12 years learning at Maimonides, and I learned so much in my time there. I made friends and connections for life, and it will always feel like a second home. I had great days, and I also had some really bad ones - but what middle schooler doesn't? Maimonides is an amazing school and connects so many children with Judaism each year, and connected me personally so much deeper than I ever realized. Alum: I loved my time at Delphi Boston. I had been in public school until the 6th grade. School was not challenging for me and I found myself feeling frustrated and bored at school having to go over things again and again for the whole class. Delphi provided me a way to go at my own pace and have a say in what I wanted to learn. While I was able to go fast in some subjects, I was also able to get help in subjects that were challenging for me. I will never forget reading 175 books my first year! Delphi instilled a love of study, reading and learning that carried me through high school and college. In fact I was able to graduate high school a year earlier than I would have in public school thanks to Delphi. She has been academically challenged and supported during this transition, and she has embraced all that JWP offers. She is eager to join new clubs and groups, and she has made wonderful friendships. She feels well prepared for the next steps in her academic journey and our only regret is that we did not enroll her at JWP in grade 1. Parent: Kingsley has been the ultimate partner in my children's education. My family is in our 7th year of a Kingsley education. We have now experienced it all, from toddler, through the early childhood program, lower elementary, upper elementary. What astounds us most, is that Kingsley has never missed a beat in deeply knowing our children so fully and meeting their needs fully at each phase of their development. My child first coming to Kingsley is certainly not the same as who they are now as an upper elementary student in ways that I could have not anticipated. Kingsley has stood by us every step of the way, evolving along with us to provide the greatest foundational education for my children's younger years. Parent: We sent both our son and daughter to PSS from age two to age twelve and were very pleased with both of their experiences. Our daughter went onto an academically challenging middle/high school and she was very well prepared. While in middle school, she encountered materials that she had already been introduced to and studied at PSS, which gave her so much confidence and set her up for later success. Our son tested into both accelerated classes that were offered in his middle school, math and Spanish, and he continues to be on an accelerated track in both. On another note, we continue to benefit from the community of caring teachers and families at Park Street School. We met so many of our lifelong friends while at PSS.
