Parent: Oakdale Elementary School was a wonderful school for both my children to attend. All of the staff are caring and provide the best for their students. They were just recently selected as a National Blue Ribbon School from the US Department is Education and as a CT School of Distinction two years in a row. They have an active PTO, Enrishment programs, Honors band, Oakdale Community Club, Family Nights, After School Homework Club, and more for the students and families to participate in. Teachers are always going above and beyond to provide enriching experiences and resources by seeking out additional funding opportunities. Our children were prepared socially and academically as they transitioned to middle school and have achieved at the highest level with the support of all the staff. We couldn’t be more proud that our children attended Oakdale!

Parent: This school is amazing! They have so many school functions. The parents really come together in this school and make things happen for those activities. The teachers are extremely involved in every single child's growth! My child is only in kindergarten and I can already tell what a truly amazing school this is. The principal is also extremely involved and at every function like spaghetti suppers and extra events they hold.. the vice principal is also a huge role in every child's education. She even writes a special note on the report card for attendance. They are very empowering there. I truely truely adore this magnet school . And I truly am extremely thankful for Mrs. Williams a kindergarten teacher . Teachers can only do so much in a day. We as parents need to be there to help our children succeed in their growth and development.
