Palouse Prairie Charter School
#2 Best Public Elementary Schools in Latah County
- Public School
- MOSCOW, ID
- Rating 4.2 out of 5 5 reviews
Parent: My sons have both been lifelong (K-8) Palouse Prairie learners and the rigor and joy that they had in their education was unparalleled. The middle school especially shines, supporting students to grow, stretch, learn empathy, and make intellectual connections -- during a time in life when school can be kind of brutal for many kids. I am so grateful for the PPCS community!

Moscow Charter School

- Rating 5 out of 5 2 reviews
Parent: My child is a Kindergartener and so far we LOVE the school! The teachers and administrative staff are all awesome! I have yet to find one thing about the school that I do not like. Activities and clubs for older grades look awesome. There are lots of clubs and opportunities. LOVE the small classes and the individual attention kids get when the avg class size is 17.

Senior: Genesee School has a lot of amazing teachers and the academics are pretty good for an Idaho school. Sporting events are usually pretty fun and school dances are okay. This is a great school in my opinion, especially for academics.

St. Mary's School
- Private School
- MOSCOW, ID

Parent: Catholic or not, this is where you want your kids. They have generous scholarships-- just ask.
All grades learn Spanish. The math curriculum is robust. PE 4 days a week. My 8 year old is picking up books and reading for fun. The school culture is radical generosity, appreciating each individual child for their gifts. It's not elitist at all - a stellar education made possible for working class families. In my daughter's time there, she hasn't mentioned bullying or teasing once-- and she cried about that often at her former school in Moscow.
St Mary's = happy, loving well-educated kids.
